(00:25) Namaste Namaste V truvian welcome to yet another spotlight good morning uh Mike how are you good I'm good good morning everyone wild day in the markets uh last 24 hours so I've been tracking it uh pretty carefully doing some trading and and just enjoying join the volatility so it's gonna be interesting to see how things pan out today with the with the summit meeting um I think it's gonna think it's starting right now so if I'm not mistaken yeah Mike I forgot to tell you we are invited and I said let's not go there and do the spotlight instead so
(01:05) yeah I wanted to prioritize our community over a White House Summit meeting so here we are yeah we said we couldn't we couldn't go we had to do the the spotlight Spotlight was definitely more important all right yeah so um we have oh look at that uh J Jen is saying Nick's big smiles have some great news coming I guess do you have any great news Mike uh yeah I think we I think we have some good news I think we have some good news to share all right so I'll tell you this though I'm excited to be to start my my weekend because I got a lot of
(01:47) work planned who who who in their right mind is excited about starting off their weekend early so they can get a lot of work done I am but uh so today's Spotlight is going to be short but here's the thing it's to be very impactful very very impactful okay so that's what we are we are looking for um we've had a good week uh Lots going on heads down working on on things so let's get started and report on some of those things and uh and uh get going uh here we go let's add this to the stage all right we are on welcome everybody to uh
(02:26) season 6 episode 10 it's March 7th 2025 this is vitruvio Spotlight uh I'm Nick Kalani founder and CEO and with me is Mike perie the COO and in the spotlight every week we highlight what happened the week before and give you uh the news on what's coming up uh in weeks ahead so uh without further Ado let's get going we always try and start with protocol and that's exactly what we're going to do today last week I talked about how I had set up a series of meetings with uh with nello in order to get going on the
(03:00) protocol I'm very very excited to report to you that we had a couple of those meetings testnet has now been updated with very stable and efficient rebasing and it is working swimmingly it is working really really well and we are now working on upgrading to to the newest version of go ethereum and uh we are throwing in the two features that I've talked about previously uh built in random number generation as you know we have blocks our gaming platform that we want to build on vitruvia protocol and in games random number generation is
(03:33) very very challenging you usually rely on a third-party Oracle uh like uh to provide that service but we would like to build it right into a protocol and make it easy for developers to build games uh in a reliable uh random number generation in a reliable uh way which cannot easily be circumvented so that's coming and also we are going to cap the gas fees uh at 10 gay so it's the default is 4 gay but sometimes it goes up uh we want to make sure that it never goes over uh 10 way so transactions remain very fast and affordable uh if
(04:10) you want you can try out testnet rebasing we've we've clocked it at uh every two minutes so literally um uh you know it's a very small number of transactions too I think it's like 20 or something like that so uh go give it a shot you can go to faucet. withr XYZ and get yourself some test withr and you know generate a couple of transactions and then watch watch your wallet the key thing to watch is the balance there where every time there's a rebase it will automatically increase so if you want to get a taste of what's coming
(04:43) into mainnet very shortly and how we will have fairly regular rebases because I believe we can uh we can easily meet the the 10K uh starting goal for transactions on Main net with some of the things that I know are coming up um so so this is will give you a good test of of the magic of rebasing with the with ruia protocol where you do nothing and the number the balance in your wallet just goes up automatically all right so that is that is uh it for protocol uh we'll keep uh meeting and maybe I'll try and see if nello can uh
(05:17) join us uh next week uh when we will have finished uh I believe the the changes and the upgrades uh well we'll have the the software done and then it's the roll out which we'll go to the VTech team with and we'll start rolling it out and then it'll be really really exciting so uh that is the news on the protocol the next piece of information is uh news is about Vibe I cannot express my gratitude enough for everybody thank you so much but we hit our goal uh we have zero available Vibe units the community uh took care of them all and I'm very
(05:53) very thankful very grateful uh couple of uh uh housekeeping notes there uh there are some Vibe due to uh to liquidity providers uh that uh campaign goes through the end of March and there's 10K Vibe reserved so I've taken care of that uh We've made sure that the validator um allocation is accurate which is 113,000 so that's also uh covered and uh I think that's about it uh there might be a little bit of marketing U uh Vibes that are are do some folks for example uh we did say that uh people who uh purchased uh the $100 and above bundles
(06:39) uh on this particular minting would be made whole I I committed to that and so there is allocation for that also so those are are set in in in reserve and uh but there are no more Vibe available it's all done and uh congratulations to everyone who has that uh in their wallet because as far as I can see there's a bunch of new projects coming on board and almost every one of them has uh I I think 2% is is the floor I think there's higher Vibe contributions coming in so I'm really excited about that so uh this
(07:14) is very very good uh I I can I see notes in Discord about folks uh being able to use the the credit and uh uh mint feature in order to to sort of merge their Vibes or split them up in some cases as uh the case may be and that's great um I'm glad people find it useful and uh that's that's it for Vibe so now from now onwards the story on excuse me the story on Vibe is going to be about uh the the revenue I I know we've kind of uh slowed down a bit but we are now working on print on demand and that's uh going to increase the the sales quite a
(07:55) bit excuse me one moment yeah I just want to clear my throat there uh you know what good time for a super chai all right our next update is on Xibit so one of the things that uh I reported on last week is that how we are heads down focused on print on demand and I'm very pleased to report that that has indeed been what has been going on we are we we've been focused on it uh with with uh all our attention and as of right now we've got the overall workflow completely nailed down so everything from the point where
(08:41) the user goes in discovers an artwork to wants to print it uh We've to to the point where they select what product they want or products rather uh pays for it it goes to gelato gelato ships it well prints it then ships it and the user uh the buyer rece receives it so we've got that nailed down uh when that happens uh after the credit card settlement period is complete which is 30 to 45 days we have funds distribution how that goes uh uh and it splits up into yes Vibe and the artists and uh the curator and the store all of that we got
(09:19) that done and this is something I'm really really excited about we've got the chroma key mockup engine code done uh in Prototype form and we'll be rolling it out overall so that's a mouth chroma key mockup engine what that means is if you go to any print on demand store as an artist now and you want to create your own store you have to go through the process of uploading your artwork choosing which products you want then deciding which mockups you want some of them are available some of them are premium you have to pay for them in
(09:52) order to get the really good looking mockups where things are at you know at an angle or in people are carrying it or holding it or using it and things like that so I'm very pleased to report that for the first time in the world we uh on vitruvio with Xibit will be will have a print on demand capability on uh on Xibit where all the mockups all the products available uh will be automated for everybody for free so any artwork you go when you go to the print on demand portion of it and try and buy it every product will have beautiful
(10:30) mockups of their artwork in perspective with shadows with light all of that and it's all done on the fly in real time uh generation artist does nothing they they really just have to upload their print media and that's it so speak so really really excited about that because we've made the level of effort for the artist zero minutes literally zero minutes it's all done in real time and it's all free uh you pay nothing and uh uh as we we'll start off with probably I'm going to say around 10 to 15 products we're just
(11:06) whittling that number down but as soon as we've proven the model we're going to unleash and have lots and lots of different products uh these mockups by the way include not just your artwork on products but remember we have display category of artworks also so we will have mockups of your artwork in scenes uh living room bedroom kitchen uh office uh you know all kinds of different scenarios where you can see your artwork you do nothing it just works uh you know I'm I'm really really excited about that and it works with perspective shading
(11:42) light Etc as I mentioned it even works with curvature so you can see your artwork on on a mug Etc all of this done in real time so speaking of media we also determine that the media size requirements that we initially proposed 12,000 by8 8,000 were a bit extreme for folks who may have older iPads you know with procreate and things like that or or uh you know uh computers with not as much uh storage or memory and so uh we made a decision to dial that back a little bit and reduce it to 9,000 by 6,000 pixels now if you divide by 300
(12:22) which is the dots per inch uh you can you can figure out uh what the largest size print you can we can do uh I think later on we'll make we'll make an exception and make it possible for people to to upload higher resolution for much larger much larger and much uh you know fulls sizee almost canvases and things like that but we believe that 9,000 by 6,000 pixels will address most of the scenarios and uh will be really really U uh adaptive almost you know useful for most artists because their current equipment will handle it really
(12:57) well and it'll be easy it is is not an undue burden on them we don't want to burden our artists in any way we want to make it thing we want to make things very very easy for them so that is uh uh obviously there's going to be a lot of questions I was in the mystiques space uh uh last Sunday there were a lot of questions about printer and demand uh we want to answer those questions in in a very uh formal manner in in when I say formal I I mean make sure that every question is answered and you have some takeaway material also that that you can
(13:30) reference so we will plan a dedicated workshop for print out demand as as soon as we've got enough of it done where we can show you uh the first thing that's going to happen is that the the print media upload feature in um in studio is going to light up so that's what the team is working on and I believe they will have it in QA today if I'm not mistaken uh so maybe as early as uh as Monday uh you can start uploading uh and we'll have that uh that Workshop soon I'll speak to Pam and Doc and we'll get that organized uh very very quickly so
(14:07) we are essentially FASTT tracking now with a print on demand because we've der risked it some of the risks we had were around would this mockup engine work because without it we are it's not possible for us to do it artists would have to manually go and do it with the artwork so it was a huge risk and I'm very pleased to report that it's completely der risked we also needed to make sure that we could have a proper workflow we've got that covered no problems we need to make sure that with an API we could handle the ordering
(14:38) we've got that covered no problem so we've der risked this now and we I feel very confident that we can FASTT track it and before that this month is up we should be able to uh have uh some beta uh print on demand features available to you with with some of the products so super super excited about it uh and uh we'll keep we'll keep focused on it and keep accelerating on it and so if you can do it faster we'll we'll get it faster okay so that is the news on Xibit and uh Mike I know you're pretty pretty excited about print on demand
(15:12) because we're gonna make money so do you anything on that yeah I I think this is great progress uh we still have a little bit of ways to go once we on board gelato and uh do some test transactions and get the credit card processing worked out um but but uh as you'll find in in a little bit later in the spotlight we're definitely going to be a revenue focused for the blockchain um it's it's we're at that time where we can scale and start actually working on uh our MVPs and and building those out um after all we're we're a business and
(15:47) and we want to make sure that we're generating revenue and not have to rely on you know seed capital and and so that operations are covered by burn rate and um by the revenue so that's really where we're shifting and um I think it's the perfect time to do that and I think print on demand is one of the vehicles that we can uh accomplish that with so um we've still got some a little bit of ways to go uh with print on demand as well as some of the other verticals but um I think this is a great start for sure yeah when the print on demand comes
(16:17) out Gus ask will the credit card come out at the same time uh yeah actually it's it's um we can't have print on demand without credit card let me put it that way so print print on demand is exclusively credit card that you cannot pay with crypto so uh that that is that is uh an important uh piece of information there so all credit card purchases and uh really uh with your mobile uh as I said you know we are mobile first so it's going to be Apple pay Google pay and whatever other mobile payment systems are are there Etc so we
(16:54) really want to make it mobile friendly scan a QR code um and um and uh buy right right there anytime anywhere and U yeah so it's going to be it's going to be really really a pleasant experience and I'm excited that the combination of being able to create your own store in 10 to 15 minutes with print on demand capability is going to unleash I believe the Affiliates uh in the world because it's an opportunity to make money very very fast and very very easily uh low effort High reward a high High income also so yeah
(17:34) uh I I see some some comments here Jen yeah yeah it is it is uh so Jen says we've simplified prin on demand so much here speaking our experience doing all this on our own is exhausting especially mock-ups so thank you Nick and the whole team yes we we we are really we really believe that this is going to be a game changer for Xibit it really puts Xibit on the map because no one else has has this capability and at the scale that we are doing doing it and uh uh the the the icing on the cake is that all print on demand images wherever they are
(18:10) whether they are on your on your shirt or a tote bag a mugo whatever all of them will be uh AR enabled so we will have utility even in the print utility beyond that so you'll be able to experience augmented reality uh from the print on demand products also uh all right uh now let's go on to our next topic which is an update on something that people have been asking for for a bit uh so let's go ahead and give that update all right we talk about passport uh passports primary objectives were to manage Supply to
(18:52) other chains because uh we've been trying to to uh uh to really make sure that we could have some way of controlling uh sort of the the candles the red candles green candles on on some of the exchanges and the second uh objective was uh to manage access to Discord channels so we want to have uh a you know Discord channels where people um have have been identified and we know who they are so we so we can have uh conversations that are free and unrestricted now we've been targeting a price of $1 on weeks for implementing
(19:31) passport now uh anyone who looks at the chart can tell you that that is an unlikely goal for us to attain in in the near term it's uh it's just for for all the various reasons we have talked about in Prior spotlights and all that so what do we want to do about this uh we we want to uh we've been thinking about how can we how can we adapt to the situation like any good startup you don't make a decision and then stick with that decision no matter if the circumstances change well we have we have information now we have data and
(20:10) the information has changed and so as a result result we want to revise our strategic uh Direction so here's what we want to do um first of all with the primary objective of managing the supply we want to take that off the table that's gone uh and as we were just talking about print on demand and you know other things like that we want to shift our strategic direction to have a laser focus on Revenue generation we want to really make sure that uh we can start getting that Vibe Revenue up but really it's more about getting enough
(20:48) income so that we have operating capital and we are self-sufficient and don't have to as Mike was saying uh you know have to constantly be looking for for seed capital and uh so that's going to be our focus and we also feel that as a result of this what we want to do is we want to allow the market uh to direct the the the vitr price uh Mike any thoughts on on these comments yeah I think the um I think you know coming into the list on February 5th whenever we listed the the Vito token we wanted to do some experiments
(21:25) um to play with you know our listing strategy and we focused on putting a strategy together where we could focus isolate how does the supply and marketing tie in together with our sex listing um so because we had such a high initial Supply uh from the airdrops um we did some experimenting and and we reduced the supply we bought up a lot of the supply on the weeks um uh on on the central exchange and we were kind of tracked uh the buys and the sells and and then we did some marketing and and kind of got that into a really nice balance of
(22:06) of supply and what we found was anytime we would uh Market make or or you know purchase up some of the supply we'd get a direct sell and so we were kind of fighting it a little bit and we're like okay well let's just see how this plays out and then the marketing the market took a turn um just with the tariffs and and some of the other news that came out with the the buy bit hack and uh some of these other things and we just said you know what we really do need to start take a step back uh we also saw some of
(22:36) the other challenges with the price imbalance between uh the decks and the sex and we felt like uh if people purchase on the sex there you know they might see the deck price and say well you know gez there's such a huge disparity I I could have bought on on the decks and then we have restrictions you know with uh the bridge and you know we've taken criticisms for that being heavy-handed uh but the the whole uh idea of that was really to do some tests and and see how we can have a successful list for the token um so we
