@MonStar94_@JamesDot4u@Truth_matters20 Hebrews 12:5-8
Galatians 5:17
Ezekiel 36:26-27
Hebrews 8:10
John 16:8
It’s impossible to have the Holy Spirit in you and not be convicted. It’s impossible to receive the Holy Spirit and be comfortable with sin. The spirit will always be at war with the flesh.
@JamesDot4u@MonStar94_@Truth_matters20 Again “sinning willfully” is not about a believe who struggles with sin and repents, but about a person who ultimately rejects Christ after knowing the knowledge of truth. Just read the context of Hebrews 10:26. That’s all. Peace.
@JamesDot4u@MonStar94_@Truth_matters20 Brother you need to really to distinguish the difference between a believer who struggles with sin and apostasy. Two very different things. Teaching perfection is just not biblical whatsoever and dangerous. It teaches that salvation is based on your performance and not the cross.
@MonStar94_@JamesDot4u@Truth_matters20 No then that person never believed in the first place. 1 John 2:19 says "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."
@JamesDot4u@MonStar94_@Truth_matters20 David was called “a man after God’s own heart.” Yet committed adultery and murder with Bathsheba and Uriah. Did he lose his salvation?
@JamesDot4u@MonStar94_@Truth_matters20 Hebrews 10:26 is not about believers struggling with sin, but about willful, ongoing rejection of Christ after fully knowing the truth. The warning is against apostasy, turning away from the only sacrifice for sins, not everyday failure or temptation. Read contextually.
@JamesDot4u@MonStar94_@Truth_matters20 That’s why it says in proverbs 24:16
"For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief."
Notice how it doesn’t say the righteous man never falls, but falls AND gets back up . Read Paul. Real David.
@JamesDot4u@MonStar94_@Truth_matters20 If you read contextually it’s about those who knew the knowledge of truth but chose to turn back into the old covenant in Judaism. “Sinning deliberately” = ongoing rejection, not daily moral failure
@JamesDot4u@MonStar94_@Truth_matters20 If salvation can be lost every time you sin, then it becomes dependent on your performance, not Christ’s finished work.
@pray2pesci@darwintojesus@MentallyNathan If (God forbid) somebody murdered your family and the murderer somehow was not found, would you still have the same worldview? Won’t a day of judgement where every evil doesn’t go unpunished and will ultimately be judged interest you?
@pray2pesci@darwintojesus@MentallyNathan If there’s no day of judgement then evil ultimately wins. So it really doesn’t matter what you do. You can choose either to be hitler or mother Theresa it ultimately doesn’t matter because we all end up in the same place.
@pray2pesci@darwintojesus@MentallyNathan If there’s no day of judgment then what that ultimately means is that every evil that goes unpunished on earth will stay unpunished. Every murderer, rapist, liar, cheater etc that got away will account to nobody. Can you live with that?
