As a guy that gets decent hours, I barely make ends meet and I know a good majority of guys that only work 15-20 hours a week @ $21 an hour. So even with OT you people barely making $30-$40k a year

Again, people working 80-100 hours a week. Most of those people working 4 hours on 2 hours off for days on end until a ship is back on the water

So even at their current top rate, workers need to put in 80-100 hours a week to stay above inflation. That’s time away from their families just to make sure their families are taken care of.
