Be sure to catch tonight's conjunction with the waxing crescent Moon and Venus. I spotted the New Moon last night, a "barely there" hairline crescent, very spooky and awesome. Let me know if you see it. https://t.co/qIuupINh7j
@KrisHarsh Naturally, there was nothing partisan about CNN and MSDNC. FOX arose due to cable news Gulf War reporting, where Saddam Hussein watched Bernard Shaw on CNN to learn US positions. US news has always been biased, objectivity was a post-WW2 pretense.
@ImFromCle Right, so how about people who have made the choice to NOT own a smartphone? I'm effectively BANNED from parking Downtown (and at the West Side Market and certain other streets in the central city). @KrisHarsh I intend to crash the council meeting on this subject sometime soon.
Love him or hate him, Donald Trump is the gift that keeps on giving. Look at the PM's face after Trump delivers that zinger. Not only did Japan not tell us beforehand about Pearl Harbor, but we didn't give them a heads up about Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That's the way it works.
Q: "Why didn't you tell U.S. alliesโฆabout the war before attacking Iran?"
President Trump: "We wanted surprise. Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor?"
โFirst the total solar eclpise, now a space rock? Weโre a very important town.โ

Japanese Reporter: "Why didn't you tell U.S. alliesโฆlike Japan, about the war before attacking Iran?"
President Trump: "We didn't tell anyone about it because we wanted SURPRISE. Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor?"

BREAKING๐จ: A massive meteor fragment discovered in northern Ohio could be the largest ever found in the stateโs history, measuring a staggering 9 inches wide. The measurement remains unofficial and has not yet been confirmed.
The rock was reportedly found near Cuyahoga County after a bright fireball streaked across the sky, triggering a powerful boom heard across multiple states.
Officials say the space rock was originally about 6 feet wide and nearly 7 tons, with most of it burning up in the atmosphere as it broke apart. Only fragments are believed to have reached the ground.

JACKPOT! MORE FRAGMENT FINDS again this morning in Medina Co, Ohio. The American Meteor Society has a search team on the ground and here's their latest discovery. H/t to Roberto Vargas. The largest pieces, according to NASA, will likely be foynd near Rittman in Southern Medina County. Have you found anything? What are your thoughts on this event? Leave a comment and a share. Go!
@cityaestheticss Cleveland, Ohio is a notable example. The railroads were laid along lakeshore in the original 19th century development, cutting off the community from lake access. There's a few parks but the lake is not a large part of the local psyche compared to, e.g., Chicago.
@MathGuyTFL Years ago we flew over Meteor Crater in AZ and I calculated the plane's altitude using only hand angle measurements. However, I neglected to account for horizon dip and got an incorrect answer.
@naomirwolf We homeschooled during years when I worked from home. We were the "always together all the time" family. In retrospect, it would have been good to have more time apart.
THE SEARCH IS ON! Today's asteroid explosion was captured on local doppler radar just before 9am. Scientists have already narrowed down WHERE fragments from today's event likely landed! The debris area where a search for meteorites will likely commence is between Medina, OH and Wadsworth, Ohio along Wadsworth Rd. Also could be some fragments between Chippewa Lake and Ganger... all in Medina County, Ohio. Are you ready to search?
