In Tax Tip 2025-69 IRS is warning "Don't let grinchy scammers ruin holiday gift card giving". Thieves are posing as IRS agents, asking for gift cards as payment for a tax bill that doesn't exist. IRS *never* asks for gift cards. Be extra careful with scams this holiday season!
