India has NOT fallen in front of Bangladesh. Don’t confuse India’s restraint and diplomatic responsibility with weakness.

India follows the principle of being a good neighbour, and if Bangladeshi Hindus ever need refuge in India, India has always had the capacity and willingness to protect those who genuinely seek safety.

And let’s not rewrite history. India’s role in the creation of Bangladesh is a historical fact. Without India’s intervention in 1971, the situation would have been very different. Bangladesh should not forget who stood by it when it mattered.

As for threatening India or acting like Bangladesh can somehow intimidate India, let’s be very clear: India does not need to use its military to prove anything. If it ever came down to a security situation, India’s capabilities are on an entirely different scale.

So don’t mistake India’s patience for weakness. India is not fallen, India is not begging, and India certainly does not need Bangladesh’s approval.

Know the difference between diplomacy, strength and weakness.
