Daily we are suffering lot in train due to worst time table morning arrivals are late at Mysore 12785 will be before time but will take 2 hours to reach mys from Mandya. 🙏🙏Help

A long-pending proposal with the Railway Board seeks to connect the hinterlands of Karnataka with key coastal destinations like Gokarna, Kumta, Honnavara, Karwar & Goa. This is vital for boosting regional connectivity.

Multiple MPs & MLAs have urged @AshwiniVaishnaw @VSOMANNA_BJP & @RailMinIndia to approve the extension of Train No. 16585/86 SMVT Bengaluru – Murdeshwara Express to Vasco via Karwar, by integrating it with the YPR–Vasco Express rake for operational reasons.

The extension would provide direct rail access from interior Karnataka to Gokarna, Kumta, Honnavara, Karwar & Goa, and also serve as a convenient day train for coastal passengers between Mangaluru & Vasco.

As per an RTI reply obtained, the proposal is still pending with the Railway Board. It’s time to prioritise this essential service that meets both public demand and strategic utility.

🙏 We earnestly request @AshwiniVaishnaw @VSOMANNA_BJP & @RailMinIndia to expedite this much-needed approval for the benifit of hundreds of passengers awaiting improved rail access to coastal Karnataka & Goa.
