@FeitCanWrite@BEisenhart There’s a decent amount of these homes that were being built and bought in the 70s that are currently on the market.
My house (‘77) was around $90k in ‘88 when it was first sold. These same homes are selling for $700k+.
@coachprburkhead Female sports continue to grow and younger females have a higher risk than males.
Shortest answer: if we knew exactly why we’d be able to prevent them. But poor movement strategies and higher athletic ability may play a role.
@coachprburkhead The older turf actually had higher risk of ACL tears vs new so playing surfaces isn’t to blame (there’s no significant difference for knee injuries in the last 20 years on grass vs. turf).
1. Social media and TV amplifies them now
2. Sport specialization likely doesn’t help.
@NickHoopes_ Law of diminishing returns is how I think of stuff knees. Pressing harder likely will not produce a benefit different than medium pressure and joint mobilization, other than more pain and further swelling
Stiff knees get LLLD and focused exercise in stiff range if tolerable.
@BrianSuttererMD I wouldn’t say from this one workout clip it will negatively affect him in December. The combination of exercises is interesting for sure and probably could find some safe options to reduce hamstring risk and build explosiveness imo
@kcrehabguy Have had a few mid 20 males who got to 90% at 4 months. Minimal consistency with demos (strength coach, WFH, and lab tech). Just some bonkers healing traits and response to PT 🤷🏻
@NickHoopes_ I’m waiting for the ACL tear they say is not torn and put them in the worst possible off the shelf knee brace and charge them $300 for it.
@BrianSuttererMD Feel the same way with allied health professionals having Doctor in their title. Most don’t mean harm, but the public thinks physician. Just use DPT, OTD, PhD after your name.
everyone wants a village, but no one wants to be a villager

it's worth every ounce of effort
@JeremyBurnhamMD Rehab is un-needingly more challenging with quad tendon vs. patellar tendon. They get there, but why add 2-3 months if you don’t need to.
@Kirsten_Tanis1 It’s both sides.
Did it being torn cause her crash? Who knows.
If it wasn’t torn would the same thing have happened? Who knows.
It certainly wasn’t an advantage for her being ACL deficient. She’s a competitor and she knew the risks. Let’s all just hope she is ok.
@TheoKapa67@kcrehabguy Top of mind is similar at one year. Long term favors recon. Most end up crossing over to surgical groups. Also would say IME a significant amount who do non op don’t return to the same sports at same level.
