When we ask why taxes are soo high, we are compared to UK and Singapore.
When we ask why our debt is so high, they talk about Japan and their gdp to debt ratio.
But healthcare? Infrastructure? Education? Quality of life? Suddenly, we are comparable to Uganda and Tanzania
I will convene a Climate Ambition Summit in September 2023.
I call on every leader to step up – from governments, business, cities and regions, civil society and finance.
We need new, tangible and credible #ClimateAction to accelerate the pace of change.

What are some of the things to watch in 2023? 🤔
For one, the commitment to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C.
To keep that limit in reach, countries need to come to the table with stronger and more ambitious climate plans this year.

Renewables are moving further & faster than projected.
☀️ They will make up 90% of electricity capacity expansion in the next 5 years.
☀️ They will surpass coal to become the biggest source of electricity generation by 2025.
☀️ Solar is already generating millions of jobs.
Did you know that only 20% of national delegations at COP27 were headed by women?
We can’t solve the climate crisis without women's equal participation.

🌎Halve global emissions this decade

Rising temperatures, changing weather patterns, and loss of habitat are all contributing to the decline of some of our 🌍's unique animals and plants.
All impacts become more severe as global warming exceeds 1.5°C.
Every fraction of a degree matters.

#ClimateChange affects women, men, boys and girls differently.
When solutions to climate change address these realities, they are more effective.
For today's #InternationalWomensDay, here are 5 reasons why women are essential for climate action 👇
Happy #InternationalWomensDay.
Without the countless contributions made by girls & women every day, #climateaction would be incomplete and ineffective. #COP27 championed women empowerment, highlighting that #climatejustice should and will always be gender sensitive & responsive.
Over 14 days, the world’s eyes were on Sharm El-Sheikh, as #COP27 brought together 112 heads of state, over 46,000 delegates including ministers, scientists, policy-makers, members of civil society, IGOs, activists and youth.
The 22nd Session KMUN Conference is currently underway. Once our partners and the national secretariat arrived, we sang the National anthem and the EAC anthems. We then had a word of prayer then our Deputy PICJ gave the official welcome and introduced our Secretary General.
Let's stand up for Lake Victoria , that is not only part of our life , nature but also a source of survival for many women and their children .Support the campaign
#LetLakeVictoriaBreatheAgain to help protect the ecosystem and create an impact to the society.
Today we celebrate #WangariMaathaiDay. The 1st African woman to win a #NobelPrize she dedicated her life to nature conservation and sustainability 💚
And she truly believed that environmental education starts on the land, by planting a tree 🌳
