Employer-Employee versus Teacher-Learner. We do both. Always have. Always will. And the waged element never got in the way of a student's experiential training. NEVER and we have been doing this for a while now! #employeesnotstudents@APPEL_Pharmacy@PSIRegulator@Pharmacy_UCC
Pharmacy students are now being forced to sign away their rights to payment during internships in order to graduate. Is this legal? My thoughts: Unpaid pharmacist interns – is there a remedy? https://t.co/GL0kPi2Cpq #employeesnotstudents
@APPEL_Pharmacy@PSIRegulator@RealTaoiseach I urge you to read this & get to grips with reality. What’s imposed on Pharmacy students is unfair & unjust. Its imperative that change happens immediately for the sake of the students & the future of pharmacy. https://t.co/rkJBlJ6zdX
Pharmacy students are being exploited all over the country and the student movement is calling a halt to it. Fees are increasing from €3k - €7.5k and placement is going from paid to unpaid. Sign the petition to show your support.

SHOULD STUDENTS BE PAID ON WORK PLACEMENTS?
Pharmacy students have launched a campaign against what they say is the unfair exploitation of pharmacy interns. They must undertake a 12 month UNPAID placement, all while paying a masters fee of €7500-€9000.

How @PSIRegulator approved this is beyond me. A total of 12 months unpaid placement for students expected to work & study at the same time. A Pharmacy student is an invaluable resource in any setting. Where is the incentive to undertake this degree? @campaignforleo #exploitation
No person should go into a workplace and have the same roles and responsibilities as those around them and get no pay for it. Students are being exploited across all health care professions and it's not good enough.
