🌽U.S. corn exports at a record 3.2 billion bushels would account for 19.5% of total corn use in 2025/26, the highest share in 25 years.
How are the bigger exports being accommodated? Primarily by the displacement of food, seed and industrial usage.

Here's an estimated #corn yield and grain moisture study that I did in SE IA on a #southernrust infected field looking at 1x vs 2x fungicide applications. There will be some huge yield and moisture differences in one variety vs another depending if the fields were treated once, twice, or not at all. Corn harvest will begin this week in the worst fields. Looks like October 1st around here and not September 3! The combines and yield monitors will show the real results.
2025 Pioneer Sales Rep Yield Estimates!
2025 state of Iowa Average: 228.6 bu/ac
2024: 219.8 bu/ac
2023: 209.2 bu/ac
The big caveat for 2025 is will the crop be able to finish off the yield potential with the amount of disease that is present. Southern Rust in some fields will be taking a considerable amount of yield. Cooler weather the next two weeks will allow for tar spot expansion as well.
Interestingly planting date showed no trend in yield estimates. One again showing planting conditions rule when it comes to corn!
A huge thank you to all the Pioneer Sales Reps who collected 5,125 samples!
