@specutainment@radiolemans@BriSCAFormula1 I was also unaware that cars are built by drivers, not bought in generally.
Thank you both for a great, very educational interview.
@specutainment@radiolemans I learned a huge amount about @BriSCAFormula1 racing from your interview with Kyle. Didn't know Chevrolet were so dominant, that capacity was unlimited, that gearboxes are 2 forward and 1 reverse, that different chassis are used for different surfaces.
@specutainment@MazdaMX5Cup@ArjunaKankipati@BriSCAFormula1 Good evening John & #MWM team, looking forward to joining you all live.
It will be interesting to hear about the World of F1 Stock Car's, I remember watching that on ITV 'World of Sport' when I was younger, be fascinating to hear how it's evolved from a drivers perspective
@MuseumCommodore Night Driver on Atari VCS with paddle controllers
Pole Position on C64 was magnificent, had a cartridge copy and it was one of my most played games with Pitstop II a close second.
@Claudia02741270@hjwakerley The biggest issue is that several jobs require engine to be dropped out of bay, and that needs a heavy duty lift due to engine weight, it's time consuming hence costly
There's also an armada of computers running things and replacements for those are getting difficult to source.
@Claudia02741270@hjwakerley The V10 is hilarious, such a great car to drive, but maintenance is costly as they really shoehorned the V10 into the Touareg's engine bay.
I've driven 60k miles in one and loved it.
It's still the benchmark SUV in terms of power, ease and stability for me.
@specutainment@Porsche That rear is very 935'ish. Put a big wing on that and it would be a double for that 935 anniversary car they released a few years ago.
The front end reminds me of the GT1 Porsche, and a flat-8 engine, that's amazing, I really hope this comes to fruition in a production car.
@radiolemans@specutainment@rcracing Yes, that has rather dated that movie, but I was watching an episode of 'Frasier' where they'd put in telephone points so people could get online.
@specutainment@radiolemans The reboot of @rcracing during txt was very funny, brought back memories of internet access via 28.8k dial up modem 30 years ago.
@specutainment@radiolemans The FCY's at PLM were simply a result of the cars being so closely matched, that track being so fast, and the second you went off track the kerbs and grass were like hitting ice. That many cars, that closely matched it was just a fact of life.
@specutainment You and the @IMSARadio team always do such a great job bringing great guests to the booth, but technical insights from engineers like Mr Mesina I enjoy so much. I always learn details from folks like him, and he explains it in a manner even I can understand.
@Kriss@specutainment@2012ARA1@radiolemans All great now thanks. I bet that Bicester Scramble was superb. Fully understand the early night. It's well worth a watch, the @IMSARadio team were superb throughout.
