@deconverted_man Gender issues. In "the world" I was treated fairly but became a second class citizen the second I walked through church doors.
Later when I looked back into that murky bubble, the house of cards collapsed.
I donโt think people are angry enough that bridges are collapsing, thousands are homeless, millions are hungry, a pandemic is running rampant, teachers and nurses are leaving their professions, and our governmentโs response is to endlessly increasing funding for police and war.
@L0neSpar1an If it was somehow proven that a deity exists, and just so happens to be the Christian deity, I would still give a hard pass.
Christianity is a violent, patriarchal religion that does not share my values.
@funder My 10 yo grandson lives with us and was afraid due to his dork father's misinformation.
I said "you're getting it" and made an appt at Walmart. The pharmacist himself gave the shot.
My grandson said, "That's it? That didn't hurt at all!"
@rachelsaheretic Please do grieve, it's healthy and necessary, but do it in a safe space with people who know what you're going through.
Christians are some of the most vicious people out there. I think you know that. Do not put yourself in their path.
@masonmennenga The "It's awful in here but worse out there" is the line I was given when I complained about the corruption in the church.
It wasn't true.
I'm glad to be out of there.
