I’m so happy for DJ but I’m also just flat out pissed that it didn’t work on the Giants.

Some of us knew this player was always in the cards but unfortunately organizational malpractice, inept roster construction, and a criminal inability to develop players held DJ and so many other incredibly talented players back for over a decade.

With the NFL trade deadline three weeks away, the Giants have been actively exploring the WR market — and one situation worth monitoring is Colts WR A.D. Mitchell

Mitchell, just 24 years old, led the NFL in Average Separation Score (ASS) last season — a metric measuring a receiver’s ability to create space from defenders. He generated 775 air yards on 55 targets, per RotoWire and PlayerProfiler.

However, inconsistent QB play from Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco limited him to just 312 receiving yards, despite having a league-low 52.7% catchable target rate (via James Foster).

Mitchell has clearly fallen out of favor in Indianapolis after being a late healthy scratch for yesterday’s game and could be an intriguing buy-low target.

It’s worth noting the Giants were high on Mitchell during the pre-draft process, and if they hadn’t selected a WR in Round 1, Mitchell was viewed as a strong Day 2 option.
