Today marked the 3rd day of the Regional WASH Workshop organised by German Toilet Organisation. The day was dedicated to field visits, where participants explored various WASH infrastructures implemented by ARDE/KUBAHO in the Mugina Sector of Kamonyi District. The visits included the water supply system in Nteko Cell ,Ecosan Latrines constructed for vulnerable families and one of the 5 Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) rooms constructed at schools such as Nyagisozi Primary School.

The day was also enriched by performances from Hygiene Clubs in Nyagisozi and Kigorora villages, who presented plays, songs, and skits focused on promoting hygiene and sanitation practices.

The workshop, attended by experts from across Africa, aims to strengthen disaster preparedness and response in humanitarian WASH contexts. With two more days of training and networking, the occasion continues to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among participants.

The Regional WASH Workshop has successfully concluded today in Kigali, Rwanda! Over the past five days, experts from across Africa have engaged in intensive training, networking, and field visits aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness and response in humanitarian WASH contexts.

Participants had the opportunity to explore various WASH infrastructures implemented by ARDE/KUBAHO, including water supply systems, Ecosan latrines, and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) rooms in schools.

To mark the end of this impactful event, participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their commitment and contributions. The workshop has not only enhanced knowledge but also fostered valuable collaborations that will continue to drive progress in the WASH sector across the region. #WASH
