@RobertAlai Both Ruto and Bitok knew of the fire. They just chose to go on with the day's plan and deal with the fire later. He can't be fired for doing the same thing his boss sent him to do.
Iron sharpens iron!
I saw something in Alionya the first time I saw and listened to her.
I have now handed her over to Party Leader @DrOburu_O and Party Chairperson @gladyswanga to walk with her the leadership jouney - into the Senate from 2027!
@calvinokello4 Luhyas and Luos are siblings. Nothing can break that bond. The Luos know that when things get tough, it's the Luhyas they'll turn to unconditionally, and vice versa.
All MPs and Senators have bodyguards. Only MCAs don’t have bodyguards.
Where was Senator Osotsi’s bodyguard?
Who is the friend Senator Osotsi was with?
@EngMwonga@troublemanke@ignyharaz2 Ati Perimeter wall?? You think that's gonna stop thieves?
Even this won't, it just makes it more harder but they can steal the cars.
The Secretary General of @UDAKenya Hassan Omar must respect the Governor of Mombasa and start campaigning for his reelection.
Mombasa is @TheODMparty Zone.
I thank you for the communication and Reaffirm our country’s commitment to the UN Charter, and the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, self defence and peaceful resolution to conflicts. We further uphold that freedom of navigation in international waterways including the Strait of Hormuz, which is vital for global energy security and economy, is a cardinal principle of international law. Additionally, we should emphasize that Kenya remains non-aligned in the conflict — we prioritize Kenyan interests (energy security, trade, citizens in Gulf) and stand in solidarity with all States which have borne a huge toll as a consequences of this escalating conflict.
Having said that, we have noted and do welcome the ceaefire declared last evening and encourage all parties to the conflict to act in good faith to avert further harm and pursue a permanent resolution of the issues.
PRESS STATEMENT
(For Immediate Release)
Date: 8th April 2026
STATEMENT CONDEMNING THE ATTACK ON VIHIGA SENATOR GODFREY OSOTSI
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) strongly condemns the cowardly and criminal attack on Vihiga Senator, Hon. Godfrey Osotsi, in Kisumu earlier today.
ODM is not a party of intimidation, coercion, or political violence. Our movement is founded on the principles of social democracy, pluralism, and constitutionalism. The ODM Party Constitution explicitly commits us to the protection of human rights and the eradication of tribalism, sectionalism, harassment and oppression. It further mandates the party to defend the freedom of expression and the human dignity of every Kenyan.
These are not abstract ideals but are the very values upon which ODM was built through years of struggle. Our party has consistently stood for an open society where citizens and leaders alike are free to speak, organize, and differ without fear. Kenya’s Constitution equally protects the right of every citizen to make political choices. Any attack on a leader because of his views or associations is an attack on the very democratic space Kenyans fought so hard to win. Violence is never an acceptable response to political contestation.
We wish Senator Osotsi a quick and full recovery. We stand in solidarity with him, his family, and all those who believe in peaceful engagement.
We call upon the National Police Service to move swiftly and decisively to identify, arrest, and prosecute all those responsible for this cowardly act. Political violence must never be normalized or rewarded.
At the same time, this shameful incident must not be used to stigmatize the people of Kisumu. Criminal acts are committed by individuals and should be treated as such; they must not become a pretext for profiling an entire city or community.
HE Gladys Wanga, EGH
GOVERNOR HOMA BAY COUNTY & ODM CHAIRPERSON
@failsmallwin@ReubenKigame@IEBCKenya While the reassignment may occur, if you read his post it clearly states she is NOT in the system. Even if she had been reassigned to Mandera her name would still be shown in the system.
