Lovely day at Chatsworth celebrating the coronation. The iconic tromp l’oeil violin attributed to Jan van der Vaart inspired a love of still life which influences my practice. The Mirror Mirror exhibition includes a Joseph Walsh Enigma Bed which appears darkly magical.

@SarahVaci @RAPadmos I couldn’t agree more, stereotypes are pernicious to both males and females but femininity is an unachievable male preserve. Normal, everyday, run of the mill girlhood and womanhood is seen as not good enough.

Look how this lovebird strips the leaves removing each midvein to tuck amongst its feathers for safe keeping...

rather than taking each piece home separately, this is a more efficient way of gathering and transporting nest building material
