The EU has invited Taliban officials to Brussels to discuss a migration deal — and today I am shaken and deeply disturbed by this.
This is the same Taliban that banned girls from secondary schools and forced them into marriage. The same Taliban that, earlier this month, arrested dozens of women in Herat for how they were dressed. The same Taliban that detains, beats and executes women who dare to speak out or break their rules.
Through its system of gender apartheid, the Taliban have erased women and girls from public life. Europe must not legitimise a regime responsible for one of the worst human rights crises in the world.
Any engagement with the Taliban must begin and end with the rights of Afghan women and girls.

Appalling. Products nothing like those advertised. Cheap, inferior rubbish. They say they are London based BUT returns are to an ‘outside EU’ unspecified address. They offer only part-refund 20% & you ‘get to keep’ the fake rubbish. Don’t go near.
@FitbitSupport I moved my Inspire HR to Google last week. Since then, I’ve had no synced data. When I unsync from Google, Fitbit is now not recognising my account, which I’ve had since 2016. Rubbish. Please advise how to get my account back!
I’m hearing more and more examples of school micro-control of teenagers. Behaviour points for the wrong earrings or socks, for not being immediately ‘on-task’ or for losing your pen. Schools say that if they control the small stuff, the big stuff will follow. They are wrong. 1/
‘Nanny state’? In the ‘50s the govt believed all kids should grow up healthily. Thus we were given orange juice, free milk, vitamins & cod liver oil.
We had school doctors, nurses and we got free NHS dentistry.
Today kids have rotten teeth, rickets , and are fed via foodbanks.
Boris Johnson's £265,000 Partygate legal fees were funded by the taxpayer but neither the Hillsborough families nor the subpostmasters got legal aid. I do have that right, don't I?
Here's a running thread of all the things the current Prime Minister cannot recall whilst under oath at the Covid Inquiry.
Some more understandable than others I'd humbly suggest.

And that's your lot - 29 things the Prime Minister couldn't recollect whilst under oath at the Covid Inquiry.
Some quipped they were surprised he could recollect what door to use when he got in the car at the end when leaving.

Any time we set ‘more demanding standards’ for five-year-olds, we are going to create pressure and some of those children (and their parents) will start their school career being told they are failures. Our children need time to grow and play. That should be the standard.

People want to be able to pay the fucking RENT, and weirdly they’re not buying into the idea that the reason they’re working two jobs and still falling into debt is all the fault of a dozen Albanians in a leaky dinghy.
