Maybe things aren’t as bad as they say… I just rode around my town over the weekend. There were no protesters blocking the roads, no gang shootings, no homeless doing drugs in The Street, no white nationalist marches, no antifa protest,. 1/3 of my neighbors are black and we get along just fine.
I thought I must be living in a bubble so I called my sister and oddly enough she reported the exact same thing in her City. So I called my brother, same thing.
After all I have seen and read every day in the traditional media and social media I am beginning to suspect that some events are being overblown, in the news. Or maybe the crazy stuff only happens in cities with large news outlets?
Anyway, I am going to unlax and stop believing the whole country is going to hell..
@SVG__Collection Hendrix was playing the same thing in clubs in New York and going nowhere.
He gets a break, flies to London, plugs in his Strat the first night and is worshiped by the top musicians and everybody else.
He went to the right place at the right time. I think it's called kismet.
@Pleease@JVMonte2 I like all of the AB songs, plus Greg's solo work, but my favorite song with his voice goes back to when he, Duane and Butch trucks were doing test tapes as 31st of February.
The song is "God Rest His Soul."
Greg wrote it in honor of MLK, without his usual gravel voice.

@EchoesofWarYT 3 reasons.
1. It's hard to write a poem since few words rhyme with Jewett, like hear and Revere. 2. No great slogan available like 1 if by land, 2 if by sea.
3. Even back then, if it happened in the north it was news and if it happened in the south it never happened.
@Pleease@JVMonte2 The Allman Brothers lost so many great musicians and kept going, but I don't think they could have gone on if at any point they had lost Greg Allman.
Dickie Betts might have taken them in a different direction, but I'm not sure that would have worked out.
@JVMonte2 Allman brothers, after Duane Allman passed away.
Almond brothers , after Barry Oakley passed away.
Allman Brothers after Chuck Lavelle left.
Allman brothers after Dickie Betts left.
It was still the allman Brothers as long as Gregg, Butch and Jamo were there.

@Hot_Pepper76 John Oates from Hall & Oates.
I still don't know if he wrote songs, was the backup singer, or was there to make Darrell Oates look even better by comparison.
https://t.co/5acYRae4xW, for two reasons.
First, it was the best search engine until Google came along. Second, typing https://t.co/5acYRae4xW did not take you directly to the search engine because Digital Equipment did not register that domain name and someone else did, so you went to https://t.co/5acYRae4xW first, then clicked on the link to actually take you to the search engine. It wasn't the only major mistake Digital Equipment made during that time.
@WorldAndScience A microwave oven. Food gets hot, inside stays cool.
I don't think most people even today understand how that works, including me. I can only imagine how someone from 1920 would react.
@Mr_Husky1 Of course the octopus knew how to use tools since it spent most of its day working on his Octopus's Garden in the shade.
(I know this is a fake story but it's one you wish was true.)

@Beboard_@WorldAndScience I had never heard that before. I am impressed that you knew that.
I am waiting for the AI microwave Star Trek version where you just say what food you want and your food pops out of the microwave in 30 seconds.
@SVG__Collection It's unfortunate but this video was not a good example at all of Stanley Jordan's amazing talent.
For those who are not familiar with him, try The Best of Stanley Jordan, by Stanley Jordan, which has a far better version of Eleanor Rigby, along with other songs you will know.
