I've been beating the drum for citizens to understand the function and power of jury nullification for a long time on this platform.

Now you can see why.

Citizens taking back their authority is peak liberty. (even if I disagree with the one who did it).

We need to take note and learn from this Clancey jury.

You do NOT have to enforce laws you believe are improperly leveraged. You also do not need to let justice slip when you believe differently than everyone else.

I'm enjoying the procedural and judicial lessons being taught in this case.

I’ve been watching this debate over flock cameras with an open mind. I conclude the cameras are important law enforcement tools for tracking vehicles, illegal alien crossings and movements, etc.  If there are abuses of the kind re improper surveillance, then local and state officials should build in protections and penalties. Blanket banning is, again, mostly an ideologically-based overreaction, as with data centers.

They told us the Flock cameras were for catching criminals. In Indiana, a deputy used them to track his girlfriend 2,055 times. Every database built to watch you eventually gets used by someone with a grudge and a password. Not to mention it’s a 4th Amendment violation.
