The date on Peter Obi’s university certificate is 1984, while the date on his GCE is 1986. Does it mean he went to university before going to secondary school? This is still the person who mocked Tinubu for certificate forgery. Politicians, eeh! They will never practice what they preach.
ASIWAJU - RESTRUCTURING NIGERIA ONE LAYER AT A TIME.
First of all, "Don't go down low", just flow with me.
How did we get here?
Shall I Begin?
On the 24th of May, 1966, the then Head of State of Nigeria, Johnson Aguiyi Ironsi promulgated the infamous Unification Decree (Decree No. 34 of 1966).
The Decree has remained the most unfortunate constitutional detour in our national odyssey. And I am not counting merely from Independence in 1960, but from the foundational amalgamation of 1914. It stands as the most tragic chapter in our Nation's reform compendium - the day the stream began to flow backward.
Why?
The decree replaced Nigeria's fluid Federal System with a rigid Unitary System.
What it means?
This simply meant that Nigeria ceased to be a true Federation. Powers that traditionally belonged to the regions and sub-nationals were withdrawn and concentrated at the monolithic Centre.
Powers such as:
1. STATE POLICING
The demand for State Policing had always been there since the fall of the 1st Republic but the debate grew into a deafening echo upon our return to Democracy in 1999.
"The current policing structure is incapable of meeting our security needs. State police is inevitable." - Bola Tinubu 2001.
Successive governments ignored, delayed, or were deaf to the request till Bola Tinubu answered himself in 2026, 25 years after - State Policing is finally here.
2. RESOURCE CONTROL/FISCAL FEDERALISM
The yearning for Sub-National Governments to have more control over the resources in their domain, and to hold a fairer share of the National pie, is an old wound that predates the Civil War. It was the core of Ojukwu's argument in Aburi, and it was the prophetic warning corroborated by Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
"True federalism is the only basis for Nigeria's unity and progress." - The Sage Awolowo, 1966.
Every leader since then, military and civilian alike paid no serious attention to this critical demand until Bola Tinubu responded to both Ojukwu and Awolowo 60 years with the definitive stroke of the Tax Reforms Act.
3. LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTONOMY:
The local governments were stronger in the 1st Republic. politicians preferred the immediate impact of being Councilors and Chairmen to the distant allure of traveling to Lagos or Abuja as Lawmakers, but that culture had since died, leaving the grassroot to suffer.
"Local governments must be truly autonomous if democracy is to reach the grassroots." - Atiku Abubakar, 2002.
Atiku did not answer his own call while he held the reins as VP for 8 years. He had to wait for Asiwaju to deliver the response 23 years later. With the landmark Supreme Court victory, true Local Government Autonomy was secured, and today, the grassroots finally breathes again.
4. ELECTRICITY GENERATION
Lagos State single-handedly championed this energy revolution during its fierce historic dispute with the Federal Government over independent power projects in 2001. The visionary who led that gritty struggle as Governor is the exact same man who has ensured its grand manifestation as President. - Bola Ahmed Tinubu 24 years after.
5. FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL
The first major call for the removal of the corruption laden, cancerous fuel subsidy was made in 1986 under the Ibrahim Babangida Structural Adjustment Programme and had been repeated by successive administrations.
"Fuel subsidy is unsustainable and disproportionately benefits the rich." - Ngozi Okonjo Iweala 2012.
Yet, no leader had the stomach to face the entrenched oil cabals; no leader possessed the political will to risk temporary popularity; no leader had the statecraft to place the destiny of the nation above personal ambition, until Asiwaju emerged with the response to a 40 year old question. SUBSIDY IS GONE!
If you do not see it now, your eyes will open to it eventually. Asiwaju is the REFORMER GENERAL - painstakingly restructuring our Nation, one complex layer at a time... Without Noise too.
Good Afternoon Severally...
@adeosunm@raheem6701Yisa I pray this happen as soon as possible this centralization did not help at all and those that make it know this but for their Short sightedness and selfishness
JUST IN: "NIGERIA 🇳🇬 GEO-POLITICAL ZONE BILL 2026
[1] As of October 1 2026, Nigeria’s six geo-political zones will become official and constitutional organs of government. This means that there will be four tiers of administration in Nigeria - Federal, Zonal, State and Local governments
[2] Nigeria will have six geo-political zones, with each being made up of seven states. Our constitution will prohibit the creation of any more states after these 42
[3] As part of this restructure, we will abolish the federal allocation regime and replace it with resource control under which states will remain the federating units. Revenue distribution will be as follows - States: 50%; Federation account: 20%; Geo-political zones: 15%; National trust fund: 15%. We shall gradually migrate towards this to achieve our targeted goal by 2040
[4] Geopolitical zones will be responsible for maintaining regional police forces to augment the activities of the Nigerian Police Force
[5] Each geopolitical zone will be constitutionally obliged to generate, distribute and transmit electricity within its domain
[6] Every year, the chairman of the geopolitical zone will rotate among the six governors within it. A chief executive will be appointed to manage what will be a civil service structure
[7] Ultimate authority for the governing of each geo-political zone rests with the committee of governors. There will also be committees of commissioners to deal with matters such as education, health, housing, transport, security, etc
[8] Each geopolitical zone authority will be responsible for secondary specialist healthcare. They will build specialist hospitals in areas such as oncology, HIV/Aids, renal failure, dementia, reproductive health, dermatology, etc

ABACHA IS BETTER THAN DEMOCRACY ACTIVISTS - PETER AGULU-JESUS OBI
MY FIERY REACTION:
1. Abacha and Ken Saro-Wiwa: A friendship that ended in a Noose.
Abacha may have been a dictator to all, but to Ken he was first a friend. Ken laughed through his trial, confident Abacha would save him. But little did he know the game was lost before he knew he was playing. Ken was dealing with a merciless dictator he named friend.
"Does Abacha know?" - His final desperate words before execution. The answer came not in words, but in a signature. Abacha's own hand had signed the death warrant. When soldiers showed it to him, Saro-Wiwa cried "This must be fake!" A man who laughed boldly in court wept in disbelief at ink on paper.
The hanging was not enough. Abacha demanded erasure.
After the executions, the bodies of Saro-Wiwa and the Ogoni Nine were loaded onto a tipper and driven to a place called Bolokiri - where soldiers poured acid over them. Their bodies melted instantly, all nine of them dumped together into a single pit.
They were buried at night in unmarked graves, with heavy military presence preventing anyone from approaching the cemetery. For many years, the exact location of their remains was unknown to their families and the public.
Abacha did not just want him dead - it wanted him unfindable, his legacy untraceable, his path untrackable. A voice that had echoed across the world in fight for justice, fairness and equity, reduced to liquid in a pit with no name.
BUT WHAT WAS KEN SARO WIWA's CRIME?
Since Royal Dutch Shell struck oil on Ogoni lands in 1958, an estimated $30 billion worth of oil had been extracted. The Ogoni - some 550,000 farmers and fishermen - received little in return except a ravaged environment.
Farmland once fertile turned to contaminated fields. Uncontrolled oil spills dotted the landscape like puddles of ooze the size of football fields.
Ken's crime was asking: why should the land that feeds the nation devour its own children?
For demanding justice, fairness and equity for his people, Abacha arrested Ken, sentenced him to death by hanging, extinguish life from his body by the noose, and in death his body wasn't spared torture or given the dignity of final respects, his remains was dissolved in acid and his family left to carry the burden of a father lost for no just cause.
Ken Saro-Wiwa - writer, griot, conscience of a people - a man who chose words over weapons and paid with his life - Peter looked at this sacrifice, still wet with the blood of martyrdom, and called it worthless.
And if that were not enough sacrilege for one mouth to carry, he elevated Abacha - the butcher, the acid- pourer, the unmarked grave- digger - above every man and woman who ever raised a voice, risked a freedom, or lost a life for democracy, for a fair society, for a just Nigeria.
How desperately wicked can a Man be? How demonically inspired can Peter be? Must he be President if he does not possess the brain to prosecute his cause to a desired end? Why desecrate the struggles and sacrifice of our heroes on the altar of political desperation?
Peter - Hear this and let it echo through every corridor where your ambition prowls:
For this sacrilege, you will never become President. Not Vice President. Your name, if not mercifully forgotten, shall be spoken only in disdain and ignominy.
No evil of this magnitude must be promoted among us. No man who spits on the graves of martyrs must be handed the keys to the house they died to build.
