#DYK, Montrose Elementary School was the last school built in an established neighbourhood in 2000? In 2022, the LRSD Board of Trustees designated a new school be built for the École Varennes community on the existing site.

COMMON MYTH: Students who experience difficulty in French immersion do better in the regular English program.

RESEARCH EVIDENCE: More often than not, switching to the regular English program does not improve their outcomes (Sauvé, 2007).
