Today TX-TF1 & 15 rescue partners completed the 2022 SAREX training exercises. There were 16 manned & 5 un-manned aircraft systems responsible for the rescue of 104 victim volunteers & 3 animals. Thank you to the residents in B/CS & surrounding areas for their support & patience.
SAREX is generating a lot of buzz overhead! Disaster City was the site for a multi-agency aviation Search and Rescue Exercise today between Texas A&M Task Force 1, Texas Dept of Public Safety, and Texas Military Department, helping the State of Texas prepare for future disasters.
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's TX-TF1! Operations started for the large-scale aviation search & rescue exercise. Bryan/College Station & Brazos County residents will see increased air traffic today. This exercise helps us practice the skills needed to be ready to respond. #TEEX
