@samwilbur He underestimates us! 😀 Would love to hear this. You know what else I would love to hear? Real World but with the horns instead of the cheesy production from the Human Touch album … and while I’m at it, play Human Touch more!!!
I don’t think anyone has gotten better with age than @RodneyJCrowell. The path he has taken since Houston Kid is just remarkable. Also, no one moves me to tears faster than he does on his later work.
@Paulhaider74 Our kid was 16 before he finally agreed to go see Bruce with us. When he was around 13 or 14 we asked if he wanted to go, he said no because he was afraid Bruce would drag him on stage and make him sing “Waitin’ On a Sunny Day.” We explained that’s not how it worked!😂
Last night was one of the most focused, perfectly crafted setlists of @springsteen’s career. I’ve seen him a lot since 1984 and this was as good as I’ve ever seen. Thank you Bruce!
@EddieTrunk I understand your point of view but opening with War into Born in the USA set the tone. Afte War, he played 26 straight originals before closing with Purple Rain in Minnesota. Historically, his cover’s paid homage to his heroes like Mitch Ryder or Gary Bonds.
@EddieTrunk Because it’s an epic song and he’s in Minneapolis and this would have been amazing to see. Period. Doing covers pays the utmost respect…. Especially when you do have a huge catalogue like Bruce. Prince is all-time. Let them artists be .
@EddieTrunk He played 28 songs for three hours. He opened and closed with covers that were pertinent to the show or the location. Plus, covers are fun!
