Did you know? Anderson's drinking water comes from Lake Hartwell. After advanced treatment at the Anderson Joint Regional Water plant, it's safe & ready to drink. Our distribution system guarantees quality water for all homes & businesses in Anderson!
March is Women's history month and we want to celebrate the women in the water and wastewater field who came together this month at the SCEC conference to learn and share about advancements in the water and wastewater field. Thank you all for your contributions!
The City of Anderson receives treated drinking water from the @ARJWS treatment plant, which treats water from Lake Hartwell. The City's utility department then distributes high quality drinking water to residents of the City of Anderson.

Turning the water off today. Grab some gum and deodorant. Skip the coffee. Microwavable meals and cans for lunch. Shut the hospitals down. No happy hour beer. Hopefully the pets have a creek nearby.

Clarifier clean-outs happen twice a year. Each clarifier holds 1.5 million gallons of water. As the name suggests, water from Lake Hartwell is clarified/made cleaner as sediment falls to the bottom. Elevated troughs then transport the clarified water to the filters.
Notice of Water Improvements - Surveyors will be working on behalf of the City along Evergreen, Strickland, Finley, Nixon, Foster, Richey and Gilbert Streets. Letters have been sent to property owners and doorknockers placed at all homes. Questions, call 864-231-5230.
