Did you know the poll workers arrived at their stations before 5 am today, will work until 7, then help pack up and finally leave at 8? Amazing people. At the three polling locations at various Res locations our members are providing meals and snacks to bless the workers.
I am praying today not only for election workers but for all who are running for office, and for those who are voting. I am praying particularly for the Resurrection members running for office as they await results. I am so proud of each of you. Uncertainty acts as a tax on the economy. Firms and households hesitate when they cannot see what the policy landscape looks like; they wait for the cloud of uncertainty lifts. Consequence of our divisive politics; it didn’t used to be like this when it came to elections. They were little more than noise in the background. Now the noise could be consequential.
