@Mimigma1980@RunesAndRift I’m sure the physical card will look a lot more unique. These HD renders never look accurate for the alt art/overnumber cards due to the texture treatment they have on them.
@_whenisleep@davetron That’s a fair take. People thought Kai’sa was problematic in set 1 and look at where we are. There will always be a “best deck” or “best color” so I think it’s only worth considering when it’s negatively affecting overall game health at multiple levels.
@_whenisleep@davetron For context, I’m very ban adverse from a game design perspective. My major concern is the Feb. State of the Game saying they won’t rules change because of power level, it possibly puts Draven Legend on the chopping block when changing combat fixes it without errata.
@davetron The thing I’m most wary of is the part of the February “State of the Game” article where you said “no rules changes for power level adjustments” I feel like this is an unnecessary precedent to set that kneecaps your ability to fix Draven without ban or errata.
@_whenisleep@davetron I play Ezreal and I think Called Shot needs to go. If you wait nearly a full year (3 sets) to address a problematic card, you won’t have a playerbase. This isn’t 2000s-2010s era TCG where you only had the big 3. People will jump to one of the other 47 games.
@C4RRYlol@davetron It’s a matter of keeping player’s trust and retaining players. If a local that wants to jam their favorite decks for fun at nexus nights and goes 0-5 vs 5 Dravens every week, that’s not a good thing. I’m a competitive player but the little guy matters for the health of the game.
@C4RRYlol@davetron This isn’t 2010s era MTG. There’s a million TCGs now and if people get frustrated with the game, there’s a million other TCGs they can jump to. Being quick to address something is good as long as they are thoughtful with implementation.
@RiftboundSummon@davetron Decks with heavy gold generation could still play it without Ez and you have to design every other easy way to generate power around how it interacts with called shot. Ezreal is strong but not broken with any other card.
@RiftboundSummon@davetron Tbh this sounds awful. It’s a bad new player experience to have to explain this shit. Frankly, I think Called Shot is a problematic card, even without Ezreal. For clarity, I’m an Ezreal player and I think Called Shot needs to go.
@okiscoop@SaffronOlive Explain to me how Comet is a Commander card. I'd argue that it (and most planeswalkers) are significantly worse in Commander than they are in 60 card formats. This is a bad take.

Picking a winner this weekend!
@wmay1984 I hope this is satire. This is a completely reasonable card and a great sideboard option. This is like Modern infect players crying for a Spellskite ban.
