Catherine Lew is Barbara Lee’s puppet master.

For decades, Lew and her firm The Lew Edwards Group have quietly engineered nearly $50 BILLION in new taxes across California, using a two-phase scam: First, they get cities to pay them with taxpayer money to run “educational” campaigns that scare residents into believing their fire stations, libraries, and schools will collapse without new taxes. Then they seamlessly transition into running the union-funded “Yes” campaigns that actually pass the measures.

Her firm’s own strategy memos openly advise threatening to close fire stations and slash library hours if voters don’t approve the tax. And when one of her clients got caught sending ILLEGAL campaign mailers with public funds, the state hit them with an FPPC violation that directly named Lew’s firm.

Lew has trained the very politicians who later hire her, creating a closed-loop machine that keeps extracting more money from working people while she pulls the strings behind the scenes.

Barbara Lee has been part of that machine for years.

I’m probably 10% alien at this point because I believe party politics have almost no impact at the local level… despite constant barrage of reminders otherwise.

I’ve become friends with Spencer Pratt over the last years and one thing that honestly stands out to me is that in all of our conversations, I’ve never heard him frame things through party politics. Ever.

The conversations are always about problems.
How do we fix this?
Who is accountable?
Why wasn’t this maintained?
Why are people waiting so long?
How do communities rebuild faster?
How do we protect families better next time?

That’s it.

And the more I think about it, the more I realize that’s how local leadership SHOULD work.

Why are potholes political?
Why is fixing sidewalks political?
Why is clearing brush before fire season political?
Why is water infrastructure political?
Why is speeding up permits political?
Why is synchronizing traffic lights political?
Why is rebuilding communities after disasters political?

Especially after living through what happened in Pacific Palisades, so much of the noise just feels irrelevant to me now. Fire does not care about labels. Empty reservoirs do not care about narratives. Delayed rebuilding does not care about talking points. Families who lost everything are not standing in front of burned homes arguing ideology. They are asking whether somebody was prepared, whether somebody failed, and whether somebody is finally going to fix it.

At the local level, competence and accountability should matter infinitely more than teams and slogans.

We are constantly manipulated by issues we have zero control over. Fix Los Angeles.

This is the correct way to frame the issue.

If your OWN SON were the one out dying on the street, you certainly wouldn’t be giving them free money for drugs and free drug paraphernalia.

You wouldn’t enable if it were your OWN SON.

Daniel Lurie doesn’t care about dead addicts though. He is incapable of sympathizing or evaluating the problem through this lens.

Another do nothing politician with a million dollar PR campaign who props up and funds the NGOs perpetuating the problem rather than dismantling them.

We needed real change and instead we got Gavin Newsom Lite, London Breed 2.0. More of the same.

If Spencer Pratt does get elected and he does follow through, one thing that will happen is a TON of Los Angeles’ junkies will migrate here were they can be coddled and enabled and the problem in San Francisco will get even worse.
