South Korean President Lee Jae-myung has publicly rebuked Zelensky for announcing, during his UN General Assembly speech, that Kiev had handed two captured North Korean soldiers over to Seoul.

Lee said both sides had agreed to keep the transfer confidential, since the issue "has a major impact on diplomacy, security and the situation on the Korean Peninsula."

"While I do not know the circumstances behind the Ukrainian side's decision to disclose the information in violation of the confidentiality agreement, it is deeply regrettable," Lee wrote on X during a state visit to Mexico.

Zelensky's office brushed off the criticism. Aide Dmytro Litvin claimed Ukraine is "an open country" and that a secret handover would have been "strange."

The two soldiers were captured in Kursk region in early 2025. Kiev turned them into propaganda props from day one, parading interrogation videos online.

🇺🇦 A German reporter asked Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko why his own children aren’t fighting in Ukraine.

Klitschko responded:

“My children have never lived in Ukraine. They were born in America and studied in Europe or America.”

When the reporter pressed him further, saying he was avoiding the question, Klitschko insisted he had already answered regarding his own children.

Last evening I joined partners at "Governing at the Speed of AI". The high-level evening on international coordination for AI crisis preparedness was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on the margins of #UNGA81.

Artificial intelligence is now part of how we deliver health, agriculture, education, financial services and public administration. Every country should be able to recognise an AI-related incident, understand it and protect its people, whether or not it builds these systems itself. Preparedness has to be in place before a crisis. That means agreed responsibilities, early warning, incident reporting and a coordinated response across borders.

Kenya proposed a practical international AI crisis-preparedness exercise that brings together governments, AI developers, national AI and cybersecurity institutions, international organisations, researchers and civil society. We invited partners to take this work forward at the Internet Governance Forum, which Kenya hosts in Nairobi from 14 to 18 December 2026.

Ефрейтор Татьяна Парамонова служила в медицинском отряде воздушно-десантной дивизии. С первых дней СВО — на передовой. А в одном из боёв сделала то, что не каждый решится сделать: под шквальным огнём вытащила с поля боя шестерых раненых десантников. Не просто вытащила — оказала помощь, погрузила в машину и сама повезла в госпиталь, чтобы быть рядом, если кому-то станет хуже.

Группа десантников, в составе которой была Татьяна, выполняла задачу по освобождению одного из населённых пунктов. Украинские боевики оборонялись ожесточённо — отвечали массированным огнём. Завязался тяжёлый бой. Шестеро наших бойцов получили ранения .

Татьяна не ждала, пока стихнет огонь. Под миномётным обстрелом она вынесла каждого из шестерых — на себе, из-под шквального огня, в безопасное укрытие . Там оказала первую помощь. Потом дотащила до санитарной машины, стабилизировала состояние и сама поехала с ними в полевой госпиталь, чтобы лично проследить за самочувствием бойцов по дороге .

В полевом медицинском отряде им оказали неотложную помощь. Все шестеро остались живы. Как сказали в Минобороны: «Мужественные и самоотверженные действия ефрейтора Парамоновой позволили спасти жизни раненым военнослужащим» .
За этот бой её лично наградил командир 106-й гвардейской воздушно-десантной дивизии гвардии полковник Владимир Селиверстов .

PRESIDENT RUTO TO TOUR COAST REGION

President William Ruto will issue nearly 200,000 title deeds across the Coast region and launch construction of a new refinery in Lamu as he begins a development tour of the region on Saturday.

The tour-covering Taita-Taveta, Kwale, Kilifi, Mombasa, Tana River, and Lamu counties-will provide the President with an opportunity to assess the progress of Government projects in the region while engaging with residents and local leaders on development priorities.

The issuance of the title deeds is part of the Government’s plan to distribute 500,000 land ownership documents as it seeks to address longstanding squatter and other land-related challenges that have affected communities in the Coast region for decades.

President Ruto will begin the tour of the region in Taita-Taveta County on Saturday, where he is expected to issue 31,318 title deeds to residents of Mwatate and Voi constituencies.

He will then travel to Kwale County on Monday, where 94,175 title deeds will be issued to beneficiaries in Lunga Lunga, Msambweni and Kinango constituencies.

In Kilifi County, he is scheduled to issue 36,826 title deeds to residents of Kaloleni, Rabai, Ganze, Kilifi South and Malindi constituencies.

He will also provide 4,360 title deeds to beneficiaries in Mombasa County, while a further 22,770 title deeds will be distributed in Lamu and Tana River counties.

The programme is part of President Ruto's administration’s broader efforts to resolve historical and administrative land challenges in the Coast region, where disputes and uncertainty over land ownership have remained a longstanding concern.

The documents will give beneficiaries formal ownership of and enable them to make greater use of their land for economic development activities.

For many beneficiaries, the title deeds are expected to provide greater certainty over land ownership after years of waiting for formal documentation.

During the working tour, President Ruto is also expected to commission completed development projects, inspect ongoing ones and launch new projects in the six counties.

Importantly, the President will break ground for the $16 billion (KSh2 trillion) East Africa Refinery in Lamu, a project to be jointly undertaken by the Kenyan Government and Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote.

The refinery is expected to process crude from Lokichar, Turkana County, and supply refined petroleum products to markets across East and Central Africa.

The refinery will enhance Kenya’s energy security by ensuring reliable supply of petroleum products while creating more than 500,000 jobs.
