During the first protest in Selma, it was important to notice how calm and collected King seemed to be while the sheriff was being violent toward the people. He was able to keep a strong will power during the peaceful protest and even accept all charges given to them. #MESelma18

Dr. King went to talk with the president about voting rights for Negros in the South, and it was interesting to see how the president avoided the question by saying "lets not start start another war", and then go on to talk about the war against poverty. #MESelma18

Lincoln stayed calm and had responses to all negative thought toward his 13th Amendment. He wanted to pass the law as soon as possible because he had the power to and he wanted to end the war quickly. #MELincoln17
