What is the point in million dollars worth initiatives if the government does not ensure the benefits of the initiatives are maximised. Isn't this what we call evaluation? Which needs to be in-built. This is one of thousands of such cases. @nswdphi

Mentoring isn’t about sharing what you would do, but exploring what’s best for them to do.

If you’re choosing a research group to join, pay just as much - if not more - attention to the culture and mentoring style in the group than the research.

You can succeed in lots of research areas or projects, but it’s tough to succeed in an unsupportive environment.

A postdoc who said that they couldn't repeat experiments from a draft manuscript becomes the first co-author in a manuscript to become an expert in this research conducted even before this person was employed in the lab. What does @nhmrc @arc_gov_au have to say @PostgradSlave

I think it is good to continue to tag @nhmrc until they can see. Yes I complained but would go beyond because I have evidence to show how a power play was supported by an Australian research organisation and no one actioned. I will tag it every day @arc_gov_au. #academia

It's not about the research outcome or findings.. it's about the academia and the way we research . What is prolonged use? How do they correlate this in realtime? Did they consider all the other variables in real life before concluding this? Is it only talc or powdery cosmetics
