St. Thomas, ON – May 1st 2025
A new analysis by the St. Thomas Police Service highlights a clear and positive trend in the downtown core: calls for service are on the decline.

Delightful Christmas Party at Cornerstone Suites in Streetsville. Built and beautifully managed by Indwell, about to construct a third residence in Clarkson. The stories I heard today stressed how happy residents are with their tiny perfect apartments and a new start in life.❤️
Welcome to Streetsville @IndwellCA!
Great to see all levels of government come together to build much needed supportive housing in #Mississauga👏
I got to meet neighbours in Streetsville who were out of options, but now have a safe, supportive and affordable place to call home🏡

I'm pretty bold and fairly fast but I was unable to get to the car left turning lane to Lawrence. Top that off with no pedestrian crossing or green box on the East side of the Lawrence/King intersection so hitting the sidewalk and crossing as a pedestrian isn't even an option.
Cycling friends, how do you get through this #HamOnt intersection when heading west on King to Lawrence (red arrows)? The bike lanes end at (blue arrow) on King and begin again at (blue arrow) on Lawrence.
King is like an expressway over the Redhill, high speeds and 4 lanes.
How is it possible that our city councillors are turning down housing units at a site surrounded by high rise, bus stops, community infrastructure and only metres away from a highway on ramp?
At my State of the City address, I announced that 4 London developers are teaming up for a new supportive housing project. Now, the time has come to move forward. With Council approval, this initiative will bring 50 much-needed units to our city, early as next year. #ldnont
@shawnmicallef@jen_keesmaat .@JeffreyNeven@IndwellCA speaks @JeyanTVO on challenges for those on ODSP & getting housing: ‘We as a society have said that people with disabilities need to figure out how to live & provide housing & utilities on $498. Nowhere in Ontario can you do that.’
Thank you @peelregion Chair Nando Iannicca for standing up for supportive #housing in #Mississauga.
📢 Say it louder for the NIMBYs in the back: "We don't zone people"!
When they endanger the safety and security of vulnerable people while calling themselves 'concerned citizens' we can not ignore that. Read our (first) official statement on this below
🚨 Enough is enough. Misinformation groups in #Mississauga are pressuring the city to break its own standards and procedures in order to delay badly needed #housing development. Today, they went too far.
1996: 600,000 community housing units across Canada.
2023: 600,000 community housing units across Canada
We've only replaced what has been lost. No gain.
Thanks @stephcorriveau from the Community Housing Transformation Centre for these numbers.
Hamilton’s encampment population grows, with shelters packed, rents rising, housing scant and winter coming
Spike has city’s housing director concerned https://t.co/UI3fedW20P @TeviahMoro reporting #HamOnt
1890 people are homeless in Hamilton
280 are sleeping outdoors (up 120 since Aug)
68 encampment sites
Only 19 people housed since January
@IndwellCA has a dozen sites ready to build deeply affordable housing with supports. The missing piece is federal and provincial funding.
