@ManyBeenRinsed I've seen a lot of builder's listings being relisted this week with a lower price and HST rebate disclaimer, but most of them cut like 5-6% of the previous price instead of the 13%. They think we're stupid.
@ManyBeenRinsed Last time I saw it in my neighbourhood, about a year ago, the house was priced at $200k below market value, was relisted for $100k above market after the offer night failed, and was never actually sold.
@londonmortgage1@YouTube Great video as always.
That's the correlation I found for prices (inflation-adjusted) x MOI in London from Jan-19 to Dec-25.
Pretty strong relation considering I didn't even refine the model for seasonality and whatnot.
@ManyBeenRinsed They lost 700k in 2025 as easily as the previous seller won 700k in 2022. Sold at the 2020 price.
Also... I think I can see the infamous piece of paper on the glass door.
@ronmortgageguy And to some renters like me who CAN buy, it doesn't make any sense. Cash invested in a balanced portfolio pays my rent with some leftover to reinvest. Why switch to something that's losing equity by the day? The math just isn't mathing.
