@dil_institute Join us for this important conversation. As Latino leaders in equity work, we need to be a part of addressing anti-blackness wherever it resides. Research spaces sorely need this. Excited to join #diversityinleadership and the amazing leaders on this panel.
In leaked audio recording reviewed by @latimes, LA City Council members said @mikebonin wielded his Black son like an “accessory” in public.
“Su negrito,” @CD6Nury said, responding to comments by @kdeleon, w/ @cmgilcedillo & @LALabor’s chair present https://t.co/Gcj3ePWPmN

This is the OPPOSITE of collaboration in the face of an unprecedented challenge for schools. Truly a rare inside look into how decisions were made about our students’ education during distance learning. What in the world...🤯
Here’s something you RARELY see: blow-by-blow notes from INSIDE talks between @LASchools & @UTLANow.

but if you really think about it
police play a tiny role in CREATING public safety
jobs, quality schools, health care, mental health, built environment, love play 100% of the role.

JUST NOW: By 7-0 vote, @LASchools board members approve @Kelly4LASchools’ resolution calling for a plan to make Ethnic Studies a high school grad requirement by 2023-24.
The board motion also directs #LAUSD admins to ensure every school has an Ethnic Studies course by 2022-23.
Our schools and communities need resources NOW. That’s why we need to reclaim BILLIONS a year from corporations who refuse to pay their #FairShare. This November we can do that by voting #YesOn15#Prop15
