I miss ye olde of Twitter. I check in every now and again and/or come up with something I want to share here, but this platform is just so ... nope.
Gonna try something new.

Saw a local call for vendors & suddenly remembered I wanted to work towards selling my art. Been almost a year since I made that goal.
I've been creating & having fun, but totally forgot about that particular goal.
Doesn't help I recently realized video games steal my art time!
I noticed the AC was actually turning off tonight so I went outside and ... omg this is what under 90 feels like...
It's 83 and I could die happy right now.
(Austin has had 70+ days of 100+ degrees. Frequently been 105 here.)
There's nothing like that feeling of the amazing happening and saying, "This is happening! This is real life!"
...
Followed immediately by the morning alarm going off & realizing it was just a dream. ๐ฑ
@Sarkat @westiectweets Recovering from covid, I realized I was walking up feeling really good - literally the most energized in a decade or two.
I suspect it's because I was drinking so much water from being so dang thirsty all the time while I was sick.
I just can't stay that hydrated wo motivation.
Okay, no. Shrek shouldn't have agreed he wishes things could go back to how things were before he saved Fiona, but I hope the audience feels the invalidation in her statement that he can't see he has everything.
My two cents.
@JangoFett25 I come back to Longwalks occasionally. Might not be your cup of tea, it feels like a gentler social media platform.

At what point can we say Meta has a monopoly on most social media platforms?
Just curious.....
The biggest Nope for me on Threads is that if I want to delete my account, I have to also delete my Instagram account. No thanks.
@ThejsuN Seems like an accurate assessment.
I heard a saying, "If you're not paying for the service, *you're* the product."
Oversimplification, but seems true. ๐คฎ
(I'll say it again, I miss LiveJournal.)
This is what a maternal health crisis looks like:
In anti-choice states, OBGYNs are leaving en masse and hospitals are shutting down their maternity wards while crisis pregnancy centers are getting millions in taxpayer dollars.
You know, this is (at least) the 2nd consecutive year that the leadership of this country has made crappy decisions leading up to the 4th of July... ๐ก
@AngelaCampbel@JangoFett25 Donated... and seriously contemplating signing up for monthly donations. This is such a wonderful site, dedicated to non-profits & municipalities.
