I feel like there's ONE piece of advice I want to give people who want to create interactive meetings/sessions (esp online, but even f2f) and it's to harness those first 5-10 minutes by giving people an opportunity to interact and be themselves, not focusing them on yourself
Here's how a group of Explorers and other contributors are inspiring change through the Constructive Visions project—and how educators and students can be catalysts for change in your own communities.

Worst piece of advice I ever heard as an educator was to be “really strict” on the first days of school. It sent the completely wrong message to my students. Build rapport with students before telling them what to do. Otherwise, they won’t buy-in.
All my student desks have check in and check out QR codes and feel wheels! We need to know how our Ss are doing when they walk in and out. As an adult there are times struggle with explaining my feelings, Ss do too. The feel wheel helps!

Amid all the demands to take down Gay Pride/ rainbow flags in classrooms, I decided to dig into the history a little. FL teaching peeps, hang this on your walls—it’s educational! #history#rainbows#gaypride#explore#visualimpact

#Shoutout to @insidenatgeo's Tara Robert's (@tarainjoy) for being named the 2022 Explorer of the Year!
Tara & her team have been searching for shipwrecks from the transatlantic slave trade to tell the stories of people who don't have a voice to tell their own. ❤️ #NatGeoFest
