@abneyc Hi, I’m a chemistry teacher. You might know me from my one and only hit, “Everything Is A Chemical,” which I feel compelled to say to anyone who touts a product as “chemical-free”.
Just received my copy of Adrian Dingle's new "Chemistry - 100 Ideas in 100 Words" and it's fantastic! I love the graphics, and each topic seems well thought out and easy to understand. @adchempages
@hemantmehta Oh man. I saw your tweet notification come across; I ran to Conn to see what it was I couldn’t trust. The first 4 to jump at me seemed too obvious, so I thought it was maybe a trick. So I ignored those…but that ended up being purple. Sigh. Another yellow day for me, so sad.
@cgenco Always funny! My parents owned a sign shop as I grew up, so I was constantly around signs. I still notice bad signs everywhere, especially since I have a keen interest in proper grammar at all times. But also, this sign near my house…
@OMGFacts Pepper steak. I hated peppers of any kind and my mom would drench lean tough cuts of steak in peppers and make me sit there for hours until I ate it. Ugh. I love peppers now as an adult, but I still can’t bring myself to try pepper steak again.
@teachergoals Does it bother anyone else (with ADHD, or OCD) that this article constantly flips between the correctly written “ChatGPT” and also the incorrect “ChatGTP” or is it just me?
@KeithEricBenson @BocBotch@NJEA Yes… for some certifications. But I got my chemistry standard certification in 2015 and I ONLY had to take 2 Praxis tests (subject specific) but not the general one. The next year it was required.
@KeithEricBenson @BocBotch@NJEA @KeithEricBenson It wasn’t always that way. The test in question did not become required for ALL teachers in NJ until 2016 (or 2017, I forget which.)
@BocBotch@NJEA I completely agree. Coming from private industry into a public school chemistry teaching career, I was never treated as a professional who was trusted to use my own expertise. Completely disrespected. I’ve since returned to the private sector- and I won’t go back.
