Kids need social justice language so they can name the issues they are seeing and experiencing. This will help them advocate. They need access to words and explicit understanding of their definitions.
This is education for the 'real world.'
At King’s Cross, everyone drinking their morning coffee, not a single person using a reusable cup. 99% of plastics are made from fossil fuels & most compostable packaging won’t be composted by industry. If we all changed this small habit it would make a huge difference.

Why are pediatric hospitals always full these days? Even in the summer? Why are kids sicker than ever before? Looks like the answer is that covid is causing lots of serious new health issues in kids. And still no plans for a safe September. Parents should be rioting.
