Why does mainstream media choose to keep Hunter Biden in the headlines and not the sinister story behind the overturning of Roe and the devastating fallout?

Because they care more about ratings and profit than civil rights, women, democracy, and credibility.

But the consequences of trump and his Republican soldiers ramming three Federalist Society judges onto the Supreme Court, which enabled them to reverse 50 years of precedent when they overturned Roe is NOT out of our lives.

21 states now have abortion bans or restrictions; 7 states have judicial blocks on abortion bans.

Abortion bans have had a chilling effect on doctors — driving them away because they won’t practice in states where a decision for a patient could land them with fines or a prison sentence.

Fewer doctors.
Fewer med school enrollees. Fewer residencies.
Fewer doctors to perform critical preventive care like pap smears and screenings.

Maternity wards are closing because they can’t find enough professionals to staff them.

The lives of women who are having a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy are now at risk — like the pregnant woman in Oklahoma with a non-viable fetus who was told to wait in the parking lot until she got sicker because “we can’t touch you unless you are crashing in front of us.”

Maternal death are 62% higher rates in states with abortion bans or restrictions.

Roe is still on the ballot… now we have to vote in the people that will restore our right to privacy and our right to choose.

Donald trump is proud of paving the way to bring back the barbaric treatment of women.

Democrats want to give you what Republicans won’t.

Every vote and every seat in every election— federal state and local — matters.

BREAKING: Donald Trump’s son Trump Jr. becomes an international embarrassment as over 15,000 Australians sign a devastating letter demanding that he be banned from entering Australia ahead of his planned visit early next month.

But it gets even WORSE for Trump Junior…

Trump Jr. was planning to visit Australia expected on the 11th of July on a trip sponsored by "Turning Point Australia," a group affiliated with “white nationalist” Charlie Kirk's far-right organization "Turning Point USA.”

But now it may not happen at all, and even if he is allowed to enter the country, he has a big surprise in store, because over 15,000 Australians are accusing Trump Jr. of being a “a magnet for far-right and neo-nazi groups” and “a far-right agitator, white supremacist, transphobe, and conspiracy theorist” who “spreads bigotry wherever he goes” — and the Australians are vowing to protest his event “in numbers to send the message that people here reject and despise everything they stand for."

But Australians didn’t stop there.

They also accuse Trump Jr. of being a “proud bigot” who is “famous for his aggressive racist and transphobic campaigning” and “has been attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election, including the violence on January 6.”

The Australians also declared that they “will not allow” Trump Jr.’s bigotry to “get a foothold in Australia” — and assured that, when Trump Jr. arrives to “fight woke culture,” Australians “plan to show him that there is a serious, large left movement here willing to stand up to bigotry in all its forms."

My wife had a call late last night from a friend of ours. He graduated with my wife. And had been a friend of ours since High School. He was also my dentist back in Tennessee. He called after not really hearing from him much for a couple of years. We both considered him a friend. Even spending a weekend in Amsterdam with him and his wife a few years ago. His reason for calling? He saw a post on Facebook from my wife about our new website for our consulting company niteflyermedia. Even though I was an elected Tennessee Democratic Executive Committee member. Our friend did not know we were Democrats until last night. He obviously does not read my tweets. He was on a rescue mission to convince my wife and hopefully myself that we need to be MAGA and a Trump supporter. It was a fools mission. Like all MAGA's he was happy to cease being a life long friend. All because of Trump. With Trump supporters there is no logical discussion point. Only a regurgitation of Trump's many talking points. It is really sad. Before Trump I had many friends who were Republicans. I was great friends Lloyd Daugherty. We went to college together. Lloyd worked for Ronald Reagan and became head of Tennessee Conservative Union. I became a Democratic Party official. Although we had different political views. We could both still be civil and sociable. Lloyd passed away before the advent of Trump. After Trump it became impossible to even have a discussion with a MAGA. That is what our dentist friend left the conversation with. This educated man who went to medical school and became a well respected dentist. Is perfectly happy to throw away a half century's long friendship. All for Donald Trump. That's a shame. But it proves MAGA is a cult. If you are not a member of the cult you are "shunned ", ridiculed and dismissed. But like most cults. MAGA's time is coming to and end very soon. I hope the cult members seek help for their Trump addiction. after 2024 maybe we can return to normalcy. Fingers crossed. #DemVoioce1

I’ve heard it said that “your thoughts, feelings & emotions are your life.” While this gets close, it falls short.

The truth is, it’s the thoughts, feelings & emotions you have ABOUT your thoughts, feelings and emotions, that determines the quality of your life. What do I mean?

Other than primates & dolphins…to some degree, human beings are the only known form of life that can have thoughts and feelings ABOUT previous thoughts and feelings. We can do that an unlimited number of times, recursively.

Our ability to do this, has the potential to create both Hell on Earth, and Heaven on Earth, depending on how we use it. Since most people aren’t even aware of it, you can imagine how most people use this ability, by default; to create Hell on Earth for themselves.

Let’s say you find yourself feeling sad one afternoon. You immediately think “I don’t like this feeling!” and try to snap out of it….but can’t.

Now, you are are feeling anger ABOUT your inability to quickly end your sadness. A bit later, you start feeling shame ABOUT the anger that you feel ABOUT your sadness, because your mother always used to tell you “You’re just like your Dad. When he didn’t get his way, he always lost his cool and got angry!”

With each new thought or feeling ABOUT previous thoughts and feelings, it becomes a governor/modulator for the thoughts and feelings that came before it/them. Thus, what started out as sadness, is now a shame filled, angry sadness.

You have successfully created a really shitty mix of feelings, out of what started as a just a feeling of sadness.

Meanwhile, two blocks away, someone else felt sadness about the same time that you first noticed yours. However, they adopted the thoughts and feelings of acceptance, ABOUT their feelings of sadness….and a couple hours later, had already forgotten about having felt a little sad earlier in the day.

The quality of the experience of our lives so often comes down to how we use our ability to choose our thoughts and feelings ABOUT previous thoughts and feelings.

Over the next year and a half, the political landscape is going to find you feeling a wide variety of emotions, with many of them being felt at a level of intensity that may be different than usual.

When this happens, rather than amplifying that initial thought/feeling, aim to have neutral thoughts/feelings ABOUT those previous thoughts/feelings.

What if you became intensely curious ABOUT your anger? How about having a sense of understanding ABOUT your shame? What happens if you apply the thoughts/feelings of acceptance to your hopelessness, and then step into calmness ABOUT your ability to feel acceptance ABOUT you hopelessness?

I tell you what happens. The primary thoughts and feelings TRANSFORM.

Once, while working with someone who was experiencing intense chronic pain, I said “How can I help you?” “My FUCKING BACK is KILLING me!” they replied.

“Okay. I’m going to ask what may seem like weird or dumb questions. All I ask is you answer them, no matter how dumb they seem.” They nodded that they would.

“How do you feel ABOUT your back killing you?” I asked. They paused for a moment. “I feel pissed off. Angry!”

“And when you think about the fact you feel pissed off and angry ABOUT you back killing you, what thoughts and feelings do you have ABOUT that?” “It makes me sad” they said with tears starting to form.

I continued with this line of questioning. In the end, they felt surprised ABOUT the joy they were able to feel ABOUT the relaxation they were able to feel ABOUT the understanding they were able to have ABOUT their sadness, ABOUT their anger, ABOUT their back killing them.

They were feeling surprised joy, ABOUT their relaxed understanding ABOUT their sad anger ABOUT their back killing them. At this point, their pain had come down from 9….to 3 (something pain medication had failed to achieve) and they were breathing deeply and more slowly.

My baby girl is 6 month old today. Everyday, I get notifications from daycare on what she is doing, how much she ate and napped, etc. Today, I got sent a photo of her in the park, holding a LGBTQ pride flag while being read a book celebrating Pride.

As a parent, I was thrilled.

This old lady handed her bank card to the teller and said “I would like to withdraw $10”. The teller told her “for withdrawals less than $100, please use the ATM.

The old lady wanted to know why... The teller returned her bank card and irritably told her “these are the rules, please leave if there is no further matter. There is a line of customers behind you”.

The old lady remained silent for a few seconds and handed her card back to the teller and said “please help me withdraw all the money I have.” The teller was astonished when she checked the account balance. She nodded her head, leaned down and respectfully told her “you have $300,000 in your account but the bank doesn’t have that much cash currently. Could you make an appointment and come back again tomorrow?

The old lady then asked how much she could withdraw immediately. The teller told her any amount up to $3000. “Well please let me have $3000 now.” The teller kindly handed $3000 very friendly and with a smile to her.

The old lady put $10 in her purse and asked the teller to deposit $2990 back into her account.

The moral of this story is....
Don’t be difficult with old people, they spent a lifetime learning the skill.
