Her injuries: burst vertebra, multiple spinal fractures, broken ribs, a crushed thyroid, internal hemorrhaging, permanently paralyzed from the waist down.

Prosecutors: John O'Keefe was hit by a 7,000-lb car going 24 mph, shattering the taillight with his arm. The impact was so hard, it spun him around and propelled him 30 feet through the air before he landed on frozen, rock hard ...grass.

His injuries: ZERO BRUISES OR BROKEN BONES from the neck down. And dog bites and scratches on his arm.
