@ABsteward@BradSpellberg I agree with @JonathanRyderMD--in the end my thoughts are treat until surgical debridement is complete, but provide adequate abx duration for cellulitis, bacteremia, or other infections. Our study showed 48h after debridement is safe! https://t.co/fyXHE3GZ7v
I learned so much tonight. Very grateful to the faculty of @WomenSurgeons@SurgJournal Reviewer Academy and to our incredible panelists for sharing their time and valuable insights on the peer review process from EICs of TOP international surgical journals. Thank you!!! 👏👏
From @Hopkins_TRC#COVID national cohort: 2 yrs tracking infections and hospitalizations in #transplant recipients. Despite ongoing high infection incidence in late #Omicron waves, hosp. rate ⬇️ 75% versus pre-BA.1/BA.1; 🫁 recipients remained ⬆️risk. https://t.co/CnPinXXQnJ
@RShufordMD@MBosleyMD@AlanRey15072599 Congratulations 👏🏼🎉 y'all are the real real and I'm so proud to have trained with you ❤️ Your patients are lucky to have you!
Pleased to share our report of a hook effect (ie, falsely low readout in setting of high analyte concentration) with use of a common #sarscov2 binding antibody test. This is akin to the prozone effect seen in assays such as the RPR for syphilis. https://t.co/GluQ2o2YAT
Short 🧵regarding the use of 'slip' knots to keep the tissues approximated when they are under tension, so that they stay in the right position when throwing the rest of your knots.
This is a very common technique, and I would say I use 'slip' knots in almost every case.
