Megan Payne grew up on campus as the bat girl for @OtterbeinSB, while her mother (Shelley) evolved our HSS Department.. The daughter since arrived to start 127 games as a Cardinal as her mother watched proudly, while recently fighting her own fight. 🥎 ♥️

After getting back into a real game for the first time in 9 months, I didn't exactly see the results I wanted when I came out the gate. I wanted to share 3 mottos I kept saying to myself to keep my head in the right space. Check out my most recent blog post linked below!
Yesterday, Howland High School lost an extraordinary teacher, and an even more remarkable person. Rest In Peace Mrs.Vacha, you will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Thank you for everything you have done for our community, our school, and our students. 🧡🖤
A couple things about errors:
1) There is a difference between genuine mistakes & situations that are entirely out of your control, learn to differentiate the two.
2) No one is impervious to them, you’re not alone.
3) At the end of the day they don’t define you as a player.
PLAYERS: When you become a "whatever the team needs" type player then you become a great teammate. This also leads to your team's culture getting stronger. Great teams have great teammates.
So grateful to our softball community and players for speaking out on mental health. This is a conversation that needs to keep going. The more we share the more others know they are never alone ♥️
Such a special night with my people. I’ve learned so much throughout the past 4 years of high school and I can’t wait to learn more at college. Couldn’t thank everyone enough for all of the support these past 4 years🥎❤️ #gocards @OtterbeinSports @HowlandHS
Went to see one of my favorite people play tonight @maddogh14 and she hit her first HS HR!! After the game she gave me cards and gifts she collected from the team rooting me on for my surgery 🧡🖤🧡🖤
