๐ณ Love exploring the British countryside ๐ฅพ Forever thankful to have my freedom back after surgery and make new adventures! ๐๏ธ 2024 = National Trails!
And thatโs it, I am finished for 2023!! 1000km completed in 12 events for the amazing teams at @BritOrthopaedic
In 3 years Iโve gone from barely 200 steps per day to 100km in 24h. Feeling so overwhelmed with pride and joy right now!! ๐ฅฐ

Crossing over the fells from Borrowdale towards Grasmere felt like I was on top of the world and far away from normal life. Stunning and peaceful ๐ ๐ฅพ

Ennerdale was so calm and peaceful. Loved seeing 3x grasshopper warblers ๐ฆ in area. Then route climbed up and over to Honister before descending to Borrowdale. Amazing mountain views! ๐ฅพ

Hiking from St Bees to Ennerdale on Wainwrightโs coast to coast walk now ranks as one of my all time favourites! Incredible variety and amazing views. Looking forward so much to the rest of the adventure ๐ฅพ โฐ๏ธ ๐

Glorious sunrise and walk from St Bees today on my first day of Wainwrightโs Coast to Coast! Possibly one of my favourite dayโs ever walking and making me look forward even more to the rest of the adventure โ๏ธ โฐ๏ธ ๐

What a glorious evening in St Bees. Ready to start the Coast to Coast adventure, following in the footsteps of the great Alfred Wainwright. I canโt wait to get going!

Gentle stroll today around @QECP with some great birding. Buzzards and red kites soaring high above. Also spotted a pair of marsh tits flitting around in low branches too ๐ฅฐ
We finished #BigGardenBirdWatch and then went for our Sunday morning stroll only to see our first ever red kite in this area! Only 100m from home! How exciting!!
60 miles in 3 days around the North Downs Way loop! When I eventually walk the end to end distance (Farnham>Dover), Iโll almost definitely go the southern route to Dover as the views were impressive. Hopefully no stormy weather on my return! ๐ ๐ค
Feeling somewhat windswept after walking 20miles from Dover in Storm Isha. Mostly following #NorthDownsWay but I took a few diversions for my own safety to avoid the exposed cliff edges ๐ฌ ๐จ ๐จ
@RamblersGB We had a serene moment in the New Forest on Sunday while watching the low winterโs light glisten on a stream which was bubbling over rocks and branches ๐ฅฐ
