Unfortunately, @StarlingBank pays a pittance when it comes to interest. Can anyone help with an account that's actually paying 5% on savings and doesn't screw everything up or make me want to claw my eyes out?
Every single time I need to deal with @HSBC_UK I am reminded why I loathe doing business with them. They have boned up this new account so badly. Going straight back to @StarlingBank.
@OxfordBusCo if I want to book the Airline for a return trip, but am using two airports (OXF->LGW; LHR->OXF) is it possible to get a return fare, or must I buy 2 singles?
Caught in a Delay Repay Catch-22. @GWRHelp OXF-PAD suspended, so used my ticket (as advised) for a @chilternrailway MYB-OXF journey. Train Delayed. Both have denied the claim as I bought the ticket with GWR (who say it's not their service) and Chiltern deny as "not their ticket."
@chilternrailway@GWRHelp I just did. And it was just denied as "the ticket you have supplied is not valid for the journey you have entered" - it's a GWR e-ticket for the suspended service.
This show is perfection. I also need a bake-off-style “extra slice” show, hosted by @j_mcelroy and his various provincial equivalents (they must be out there).
hello i have watched the entire episode of the bbc reality show where british people are dropped in vancouver and asked to get to haida gwaii as fast as possible without flying or having phones/computers to guide them
and it is just as wonderful as i hoped
Never have I ever had a SaaS company make it SO HARD to spend my money with them. We've been trying for WEEKS to get a @HubSpot demo, except our account is tied to one useless sales rep in the wrong country, and we keep getting redirected back to him.
I completely forgot this is a thing I (from BC, Canada) would absolutely do quite often. Living in the UK for a decade the delightful quirk has been almost entirely wiped from memory!
@donnamatrix Getting started is hard. We tend to just start reading aloud. He doesn’t pay much attention at first. Then the story grabs him. Then at a cliffhanger, we put the book down and walk away.
This Spanish city centre has been car-free for 20 years. 12k people have moved into the centre since the ban. The Mayor says vehicles don’t have more right to public space than people — & he’s been re-elected 4 times since banning cars. Pontevedra via @WEF
@donnamatrix Yeah, there is nothing like in-person for rapport-building, etc. But also, full-time peopleing is EXHAUSTING. I genuinely love hybrid working.
