@CathLoveday Recently had an offer from a ‘top 5’ uni for Politics using a Dentistry PS, and an offer for Architecture using a Medicine PS (both put it in as their 5th choice), which tells its own tale. There are some FOIs that answer this question too. I wonder the same about the references!

@CathLoveday Agreed! In the most part a lot of stress for no reason. A few Unis read them for all courses. But we’ve had students declined for physiotherapy, midwifery, paramedic science and paediatric nursing for not being specific enough on the PS. So we press on for everyone, in case.

@DeputyMitchell @educationgovuk This is all good, until you have a student teacher linked to a class. They don’t get to see the planning stages if PPA is done at home. Or the teacher resents having a student because now they can’t take their PPA at home. Schools engaging in ITT need to address this better.

@oldandrewuk Secondary. We had a lad who was uncomfortable in long trousers, so we changed the uniform to allow for shorts. Others took to them straight away too. So instead of him being out of uniform, and all that entails, he was in a uniform that met his needs - and preferences of others.

@MrBchat Al-Kindi and Al-Ghazali would be the philosophers to look at. 11th Century so pre-dates Aquinas, if I were teaching both in a unit I would go chronologically

Arrival at @LDNLutonAirport this morning was dire. No steps for the plane. Nearly 2 hours wait for bags to come to the belt. Feels like the entire staff were deployed to make sure that the Real Madrid squad caught their flight smoothly and there was no one left for normal flights

Parked at one, he couldn’t see rugby posts and wanted to go home but I convinced him to go in anyway. Foyer had huge permanent sign ‘welcome to xxxxx school’. Nice font, no capital letters. We went home.

@missdcox @jdurran Agreed-86 feeder schools this year. But while some might ‘know’ Jesus’ birth narrative better than others, none have yet compared Matthew and Luke’s, or started to understand why the difference. So we go in with high challenge and those that know more are soon at little advantage
