being overpowered and subject to nonconsenual penetration and forced impregnation, having to serve as an incubator for a violent creature that took advantage of you, this movie was successful bc it effectively made men empathize with horrors that are typically reserved for women
the president of Columbia at the time (Lee Bollinger) refused to shake her hand at graduation. his name is mentioned twice in the epstein files. this is the reality of ivy league institutions.
This is Jonathan. He was born in 1832 and is 194 years old. He was born about 30 years before the US Civil War started. He’s also Mitch McConnell's younger brother.
If they were in Star Wars, they'd be hailed as heroes by western culture, but because they potentially saved the lives of actual Palestinian children, they'll always be smeared as terrorists.
Apparently reporters were prohibited from recording McConnell actually speaking which is why there is no video evidence of him saying anything quoted in the press. This feels like an important detail being left out of the reporting. Why are journalists covering for this guy who is not well enough to speak on camera after disappearing for months?
no one talks about the personality shift in your 30s where you no longer want to be impressive you just want to be rested, regulated, and completely unavailable to anything that drains you
🚨 SENTENCED: Former CBI DNA scientist. 10 years in prison for altering results in 1,045 cases, including hundreds of sex assaults. Prosecutors said she deleted male DNA, then reported that none was found.
Yvonne “Missy” Woods is 66. She spent 29 years as a lab analyst at the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
On Sept. 8, Judge Andrew Poland sentenced her to 10 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections, plus three years of parole. She was taken into custody in court. The plea range was 8 to 16 years. She got 10.
She pleaded guilty June 23 to cybercrime, first-degree perjury, attempt to influence a public servant, and forgery. About 100 other counts were dropped.
CBI reviewed 10,786 of her files and flagged problems in 1,045 that’s about 1 in 10. Sex-assault cases were nearly half of those 1,045. The state has already put the review cost at $11 million.
The DA put 53 false or misleading lab reports on the record. Twelve of those cases produced charges. Three went to trial. One murder case ended in a conviction. Two sex-assault trials ended in acquittals. The perjury count was her testimony in that murder trial.
CBI says it found no evidence she fabricated DNA matches. What she did was delete, alter, and omit data, then write reports that hid it. She went on leave Oct. 3, 2023, and retired Nov. 6, 2023. Colleagues had flagged her work in 2014 and 2018. An intern found the anomaly in 2023.
Restitution hearing is Nov. 12. The 2014 murder conviction tied to her testimony is already being challenged.
