I am so excited to announce the book I created is finally here!
Being a #mom is hard. Mom Has to Poop is here as a beautiful reminder that moms need to meet their own basic needs, too. 💩🥪😴🫂
Proudly written, designed, and printed in Canada 🇨🇦!

@lstirchak I had my first tutorial today and I actually found the students were more engaged! Having the ability to talk in chat or through the mic really opened opportunities for those who don't feel comfortable speaking up to participate with "low stakes/risk" I thought it was awesome!
A new #UofT online course launched by a @UTSC psychology professor aims to help people manage their mental health during #COVID19. #UofTCares https://t.co/BKpzmBxwfx
To quote the great Coco Verdose (@GeithMB), “Our notions of professionalism are outdated. There’s no reason you can’t do good science looking like this!” 🔥✨
@EnviroChemUofT OR, what about challenging individuals to make an instagram post. Take the most captivating image you can in lab/research related image, and caption it with explanations for a broad audience.
I'm at a #scicomm conference and feeling inspired.
@EnviroChemUofT What about a two statement thing.
1) How would you explain your research to other ecc attendees in one sentence.
VS
2) How would you explain your research to a 10 year old in one sentence.
And then you can have attendees try and match up peoples two sentences with prizes.
@EnviroChemUofT Or, if you want to integrate art into it to make STEAM, you can challenge people to create a picture or infographic that visually describes their research without the use of words. Or restrict the word usage in the image.
