Drive 2--I recall the excitement the first time my car changed lanes/exited highway on its own, and when 🛑🚦first appeared on the UI. Today my car drove me from home to @WoodsCoffee without intervention. I about cried tears of joy. What a time to be alive! #FSDBeta@elonmusk
Where I live, in winter we have 8 hours of daylight...DST would mean 9am sunrises in winter and 5pm sunsets... most people would still be going to and coming home from work in the dark. At the peak in summer we have 16 hours of daylight. I don't know how much more daylight people want? Standard time year round would be most beneficial.
@RepHouchin@POTUS Please do not support this--while I don't like changing clocks twice a year, staying locked in daylight savings time is not a good idea for many reasons- already mentioned in this thread.
This is always the argument of the pro permanent DST crew: "But I like it!"
They won't listen to data that it was tried and failed. That it negatively impacts health. That it negatively impacts safety. That DST doesn't benefit energy usage as promised.
Just, "I want it." 🤷🏼♂️
@SenRickScott Natural STANDARD time-- I don't want a 9:00 a.m. sunrise in the winter up here in the Pacific Northwest. You have to take in account the northern latitudes.
I-90 from North Bend to Ellensburg will remain CLOSED overnight. The highway has severe compact snow and ice, making for treacherous driving conditions with more weather on the way. Spring storms bring freeze/thaw/freeze conditions, essentially turning I-90 into an ice rink.
Wind advisories are in effect for most of western WA tomorrow, as well a winter weather advisory for the Cascades tomorrow through Sunday. Be prepared for possible power outages, and if traveling over the passes, use caution as snow may be heavy at times.
