21 years ago today, our beloved Pope St. John Paul II entered into eternal life. On March 30, 2005, he made his final public appearance at the window of St. Peter’s, uniting his suffering to Christ as he prepared to go to the Father.

Celebrated as a trailblazer in the Kenyan corporate world, where he built a remarkable career at the British American Tobacco for over three decades, becoming one of the first African directors in a multinational company and uniquely serving in key leadership roles across marketing, personnel & public relations, and human resource.
Together with other key leaders he also co-founded and supported the Maragoli cultural festival, an enduring celebration for the people of Vihiga County.
A devout Quaker at the age of 88, his legacy of humility, faith, selfless service to humanity and support to the church continues to inspire.
