@jjhorgan Why is my patient with metastatic cancer still on a wait list to even get an appointment at the cancer agency 7-8 weeks after referral? He is deteriorating at home without any option for treatment. Don’t tell me our healthcare system works. It sucks! I’m disgusted. Be ashamed!
What universe does this happen in? Minister of Health is faced with huge doctor shortage in his province, so he insults the doctors already working there; this is real? In BC, yes
Why is the BC government ignoring calls to fix the crisis in Family Practice? Why don’t we ever see the cost of providing care per patient in the ER and UPCCs? Compare that to the cost of care provided by a family physician? The cost of those one off visits must be huge.
Day 14 in hospital, unrelated to covid but so impacted by it. Hospital is overflowing, staff are short, waiting is long. On the day she was medevac’d, I had 30 min to pack, was blocked on my way back to the hospital by the freedom rally. Here is her message. @kiray0ung
The difference between 1.5°C & 3°C global warming means vastly different scenarios for our future.
The survival of animals, the frequency of disasters, the spread of diseases & more hinge on these few degrees.

'There are more delegates at #COP26 associated with the fossil fuel industry than from any single country!
This is a huge problem because the fossil fuel industry has spent decades denying and delaying real action on the climate crisis!' #UprootTheSystem

The sirens are sounding.
Our planet is telling us something - and so are people everywhere.
We must listen — we must act — and we must choose wisely.
Choose ambition.
Choose solidarity.
Choose to safeguard our future and save humanity.

"Humanity has done hard things before."
During a visit at the climate conference #COP26 in Glasgow, former US President @BarackObama encouraged delegates to rise to the challenge of the climate crisis.
For decades, @theAGU journals have been at the forefront of documenting #climatechange and warning of a worsening crisis.
Today, the editors-in-chief of #AGUpubs' 22 journals said @COP26 is our “last best chance” to mitigate the devastating impacts.
